Lee Wilkof was born in Canton, Ohio in 1951. Upon graduation from the University of Cincinnati in 1973 he moved to New York City to pursue his career. Over the course of 40 plus years he has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in regional theater, on television, and in films playing a wide range of characters, both serious and comic. In 2014 he directed his first feature film No Pay, Nudity. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife, the painter Connie Grappo. Their daughter Perrie is a baker living in Columbus, Ohio.

Drama Desk Nomination for "Assassins"
OBIE Award and Drama Desk nomination for "The Present Tense"
Was nominated for Broadway's 2000 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Musical) for a revival of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me, Kate."
Played Seymour Krelborne in the original 1983 Off-Broadway production of "Little Shop of Horrors." This holds the record as the longest running Off-Broadway show.
Sings and plays banjo in the band Twenty Mule Team Weiner Train.
