Daryl was born on June 19, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia. As a child he got involved in acting classes, acted in a few plays in school and then hooked up with an agent during his grad year in high school. His first gig was a modelling ad for Coca-Cola and his first acting gig was for a teen pregnancy TV commercial, which he got it through the theatre group he was working with. He had an assortment of acting jobs for video, TV, theatre, commercials and industrials that were only small time limited gigs. He was typecast playing gangster and thug roles in shows like the slasher flick, _Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1988)_, "In the Heat of the Night" (1988) and "America's Most Wanted" (1988). He studied stage acting at Onstage Atlanta and Academy Theatre where he also performed in shows.

As acting opportunities for local actors in Georgia are very limited, he also works behind the scenes as a techie for a company called Video Tech, working a lot as a storyboard artist.
