Like Andre the Giant, suffered from Acromegaly (Giantism) until he underwent an operation in the early 90s to remove the tumor that caused it. A side effect, though, was that his metabolism slowed down considerably causing him to gain a hundred pounds in a year.

Played basketball for one season with Wichita State University.

WCW promoted him as being the 'long lost son' of Andre the Giant.

Captured the WCW World Title in April of 1996. After losing it in August, became a member of the feared New World Order. Has since left that group.
