Studied French in Baden-Baden. Worked as assistant editor/reporter on Fleet Street for the Morning Post. Wrote and produced plays for the Harrogate 'White Rose Players' (1932-37). Wartime service (1939-42) as a captain with an artillery regiment in defence of Iceland. See more »
