Master of Horror John Carpenter Announced for 10th Anniversary of Chicago's Flashback Weekend

Midwestern horror fans, listen up! If you've never made it out for Chicago's longest running horror convention- Flashback Weekend- then you've been missing out over the last ten years.

Every year, Mike and Mia Kerz put together three days of genre awesomeness and 2012 is shaping up to be another banner year for the convention. Over the weekend, it was announced that the legendary Master of Horror John Carpenter will be a very special guest at the Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention to be held August 10-12, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont, Il.

On Friday night, Carpenter will also be on hand to introduce a special 30th anniversary screening of John Carpenter's The Thing to be held at the Muvico Theaters Rosemont 18 (located next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel) as part of Flashback's special programming for the weekend's festivities.
