Hansel And Gretel & The 420 Witch: Poster, New Images And Trailer!

11 November 2012 9:21 AM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

Prepare for the high of your life! And no, this has nothing to do with that Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters movie! This is something completely different. And hilarious by the way! Described as a horror-comedy (apparently that shit really exists), Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch comes from director Duane Journey and is actually some kind of a crazy spin on the classic German fairy tale. Today we have some cool images, poster and the first trailer for the whole thing, hope you’ll like it!

Some say the story is completely crazy, but I say that’s quite logical thing when you have one weird witch who uses pot instead of candy to lure teenagers into her home!

So, as I mentioned, Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch is a contemporary spin on the classic German fairy tale Hansel & Gretel about a brother and sister who battle a witch »

Twilight's Mike Newton Writes Open Letter to Twi-hards

8 November 2012 1:10 PM, PST | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Michael Welch Twitter account: Open letter to Twilight fans Michael Welch, Mike Newton in the Twilight movies, has written (via Twitter) an open letter to fans of the blockbuster movie franchise. The letter isn’t addressed to me, as I’m not a Twilight fan (or hater, for that matter), but it’s a good read all the same chiefly — in my view — for what Welch has to say about the casting process for the first Twilight movie, sometime in 2007. Last night, Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley in the Twilight Saga) continued her recent all-over-the-place-ness by appearing on Conan in support of this weekend's release End Of Watch. Apparently, co-star Jake Gyllenhaal got tazed, Kendrick's got an obsession with Taco Bell, and she wants some male appendages. See the video for more of that. Meanwhile, back in Twilight-land, Kendrick's Saga counterpart Michael Welch (who portrayed Mike Newton, her on-and-off love interest) shared a sweet rea »

Toronto Film Festival 2012: Walter Salles Working on New On The Road Cut

28 August 2012 1:46 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Whether as a result of poor critical/box-office reception, (perceived) local sensibilities, and/or censorship, the movie you watch in, say, Canada isn't necessarily the exact same movie watched by someone in Singapore, »

First Look at Michael Welch and Molly Quinn in ‘Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel and the 420 Witch’

3 March 2012 11:37 PM, PST | twilightersanonymous.com | See recent TwilightersAnonymous news »

Wetpaint has our first look at Michael Welch’s latest film with co-star Molly Quinn (the absolutely awesome actress from Castle on ABC), Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel and the 420 Witch. While the title seems to be a tad long, the film description sounds like a lot of fun, and with both Michael from the Twi Family and Molly, it’s sure to be one that you can’t miss. Michael will be playing Hansel, brother to Molly’s Gretel. Check out the first look below:

Get ready for Castle cutie Molly Quinn as you’ve never seen her before! The 18-year-old ginger-haired actress will be starring as young Gretel in the upcoming creeptastic reboot of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel.

Check out these sneak peek pictures of Molly from the set of Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & the 420 Witch, which is set for release on April 20.

Michael Welch plays Hansel, Gretel’s responsible and straitlaced brother. “Molly is carrying this film on her shoulders, and she’s just slaying it,” he says.’

“This witch has really gone unchecked for centuries and I think that’s one reason that she’s met her match with this Hansel and Gretel, because we have no parental supervision whatsoever,” Molly reveals.

Thanks Noor!

[Special Report] Take A Hit Off 'Black Forest: Hansel and Gretel & The 420 Witch'!

Directed by Duane Journey, Black Forest: Hansel And Gretel & The 420 Witch updates the Grimm Brothers classic fairytale to modern-day Pasadena. Except now the forest is an immense indoor hydroponic marijuana farm. So naturally some liberties have been taken with the existing text. Its being described as a bit Edgar Wright and a bit Pineapple Express but very gory. The film is "about a brother and sister who battle a witch that uses a special drug to lure teenagers into her suburban home where she devours them to maintain her youth and beauty." Written by David Tillman and produced by Dark Highway Films, Black Forest stars Molly Quinn (Castle), Michael Welch (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse), Lara Flynn Boyle (Twin Peaks, Men In Black II) and introduces Bianca Saad »

New 'Twilight' cast trailers to sink your teeth into

1 February 2012 6:51 AM, PST | Twilight Examiner | See recent Twilight Examiner news »

Today, there are four new Twilight Saga cast film trailers to share, so to keep it short and simple, here's a run-down of the latest. First up, a new trailer for Maggie Grace ("Irina" - Denali Coven)'s Lock-Out, which hits theaters this April, was unveiled this week. In the film, she portrays "Emilie Warnock," the President's daughter who must be rescued from a hostile inmate spaceship (yes, you heard that correctly). It's a perfect role for Grace, of course, because she's got considerable experience playing the damsel in distress on-screen. Second is the promo for Michael Welch ("Mike Newton")'s latest project, Of Light And Darkness. Welch might've portrayed a human in the Twilight Saga, but it's clear he'll be tackling the supernatural himself in this one. Next, a trailer for Gil Birmingham ("Billy Black") and Julia Jones ("Leah Clearwater")'s film collaboration, California Indian, is now available. It »
