Peter Weireter was born in 1953. He is known for his work on Sin City (2005), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) and The Green Mile (1999).

Trivia (7)

Is an LAPD SWAT officer.
Was the hostage negotiator who talked down O.J. Simpson during his infamous low-speed chase.
Was awarded the Police Star on Nov. 17, 1998.
Was a member of L.A.P.D. football team, The Centurions.
Alongside fellow officer Todd Rheingold, he is one of the best crisis negotiators in LAPD's Metro Division SWAT.
He is a close friend of Harrison Ford, since the two worked together on Sydney Pollack's version of Sabrina (1995).
The opening scene of Florent-Emilio Siri's Hostage (2005) is based on a real-life crisis negotiation failure experienced by Weireter.
