Exclusive: In a six-figure deal, producers Steve Schwartz, Paula Mae Schwartz and Nick Wechsler have preemptively acquired rights to The Kill List, the new novel by Day Of The Jackal author Frederick Forsyth. The contemporary espionage tale is described as an intricate chess game between a brilliant Marine, an Israeli agent, a teenage hacker and a mysterious psychopathic cleric. The novel will be published in September by Penguin. Forsyth also wrote The Fourth Protocol and The Odessa File. Schwartz, Schwartz and Wechsler will produce and Roger Schwartz is co-producer. They bought this preemptively as they did The Counselor, which went from a Cormac McCarthy spec to a green lit movie at lightning speed. Matching the gritty intensity that McCarthy has poured into books like No Country For Old Men, the script quickly drew director Ridley Scott and a cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. »

The "Revenge" Season 2 finale features the death of Declan (Connor Paolo), a terrorist attack on Grayson Global, the arrests of both Aiden and Nolan, Conrad's election as governor and no less than four game-changing revelations. Absolutely nothing will ever be the same after two hours of "Truth."
If you couldn't keep up, here is all of the death, destruction and awful "Truth" once again.
When "Revenge" goes "Revolution"
When stuck in a terrorist-caused blackout, it's good to have access to your own satellite. Barring that, it's good to be within a mile of your dad's secure apartment building. Or it's a good idea to be at the Stowaway, where there are many candles and lanterns.
So basically, everyone on "Revenge" starts out okay.
That goes away quickly. Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Nolan (Gabriel Mann) quickly realize that the money transfer out of the Amanda Clark fund was the trigger. Now »

If you thought the engagement of Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson was convoluted in Season 1, you may just be blown away by the return of that engagement in "Revenge" Season 2. In just a few weeks, the scheming Miss Thorne and the morally ambiguous Mr. Grayson will once again be planning their wedding.
ABC hasn't said exactly when Daniel (Josh Bowman) might propose, but there's a good chance it will be toward the end of the April 28 episode, "Identity." By the time we reach the next episode -- appropriately titled "Engagement" -- Emily (Emily VanCamp) is once again a bride-to-be.
Obviously, there will be complications with an engagement like this. Keep in mind that Aiden (Barry Sloane) is still around and still pretty much in love with Emily. Jack (Nick Weschler), Emily's one true love, is meanwhile knee-deep in his own vendetta against the Graysons and will not likely take well to Emily's reattachment to Daniel. »

Before "Revenge" Season 2 finishes its finale this May, one central member of the show's cast will die. The exact identity of the victim is not known, but it will be someone important. Could it be Daniel? Aiden? Emily herself?
We will have to wait until the two-hour finale airs on Sunday, May 12, but we can guess about the dead person's identity in the meantime.
There are only a few clues to go on. TVLine quotes "Revenge creator Mike Kelley as saying the death (which is not a fake-out this time) will be "one of our core cast members." The identity of the victim will be known by the end of the finale -- so we don't have to wait until the next season like we did with Victoria last year.
Finally, there is one more hint: "It'll be a surprise who it is," Kelley said. "It's certainly a surprise to Emily. »

This weekend marks the release of "The Host," "Gattaca" director Andrew Niccol's adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi novel. It tells the story of an alien race called "Souls" that take over human bodies and suppress the "hosts'" personalities. The film tells of one young woman (Saoirse Ronan) who rejects her Soul, forcing the alien invader to form an emotional connection with both her and her memories.
"The Host" author Stephenie Meyer sat down with Moviefone Canada to talk about her role in adapting the story for film, the creative input she had on both that and the "Twilight" series and why "The Host" is her favourite novel/movie.
Moviefone: How does "The Host" film build on the issues that are referenced in the book?
Stephenie Meyer: Well, one of the things I was doing with "The Host" is taking a look at being human from the perspective »

"Revenge" is back, and everyone is more horrible than ever. But who was the worst person in "Retribution"? We examine the usual suspects here.
Note: A ranking of number 1 on this list designates the worst person. The higher the number, the more decent a human being we have.
1.
Conrad (Henry Czerny)
True to form, Conrad's response to the boat accident was self-interest and anger at Nate Ryan (Michael Trucco) for the complication. Visiting Jack in the hospital and then making a speech about Amanda for political gain were especially cold moves. At least he paid Jack's medical bills?
2.
Trask (Burn Gorman)
He's a member of the Initiative. Threats and sinister behavior are part of Trask's DNA. Does that make him evil? Well... Yes. Yes it does. Other than veiled threats, however, Trask didn't do much.
3.
Victoria (Madeleine Stowe)
The woman's manipulation of grief to get close to Charlotte wasn't all that awful. »

The big death that we have anticipated throughout "Revenge" Season 2 is coming quickly. By the end of the upcoming episode, "Sacrifice," we may just know which character dies on Jack's sailboat and why. This exclusive video from Sunday's installment of the soapy drama may give us a clue about what leads up to the sinking of the "Amanda."
If you recall from the previous episode, "Union," Jack (Nick Weschler) and Amanda (Margarita Levieva) married on the beach and then sailed off for a romantic honeymoon at sea. But all is not well. In the last moments of the episode, we saw that Nate Ryan (Michael Trucco) is also on the boat. He is definitely up to no good.
Also, he smokes. That doesn't seem like a terribly wise thing to do when stowing away on a small watercraft with the intent to kill the other passengers. Wouldn't the smell give you away? »
