Watson previously announced her desire to continue her education and has even applied to a number of colleges, both in the U.K. and America, to start her studies next year.

And now the 18-year-old has admitted she is "uncertain" she will return to the big screen after her break.

She says, "It's weird, because I've always felt uncertain that acting is what I wanted to do. Just because this has happened to me doesn't necessarily mean it's the right thing." »

Emma Watson has revealed that she is staying single until she finds her "knight in shining armour". Success is meaningless without someone to love," Watson told The Mirror. "But he'll have to be intelligent, interesting and able to hold a conversation. Not someone who bores you out of your mind. Review: The Tale of Despereaux

19 December 2008 10:15 AM, PST | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

Mice have enjoyed a great ride in the movies. The animated variety first rose to prominence thanks to Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse in the late 20s, enjoyed a rebirth as heroes in the late 70s and 80s with The Rescuers, The Secret of Nimh, The Great Mouse Detective, and An American Tail, and overflowed into live-action territory a few years later with Stuart Little. More recently, Flushed Away was a superior entertainment about a spoiled upper-class mouse who must learn to survive in the wild and wooly sewers, while the superb Ratatouille gave a rat a rare favorable turn in the spotlight as a culinary artist.

Adapted by Gary Ross (Pleasantville, Dave) from the award-winning book by Kate Dicamillo, The Tale of Despereaux features both a rat and a mouse in leading roles, but the self-described fairy tale is much more than a slapdash character study of two rodents. The »

The Tale Of Despereaux Movie Review -- Brian says The Tale of Despereaux is actually quite a misleading title

19 December 2008 | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

"The Tale of Despereaux" is actually quite a misleading title. There's so much oddity floating around this misguided film, it leaves little room for our hero to accomplish anything worthy of sole title ownership. He's rendered a footnote in a cluttered fairy tale yearning for a sense of whimsy, only to conjure great bewilderment instead. Despereaux (voiced by Matthew Broderick) is a tiny mouse with huge ears and a tireless sense of curiosity. Enchanted by stories of King Arthur, Despereaux is hungry for adventure, much to the dismay of his fellow mice, who take great honor in fear. Befriending Princess Pea (Emma Watson) of the kingdom of Dor, the mouse tastes regality for the first time and loves it, only to find his community banishing him for his individuality, sending Despereaux to a life lived with the rats. One of those vermin is »

Watson Doesn't Crave Fame

19 December 2008 4:18 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson feels sorry for superstars such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, because she loves living "a normal life".

The star shot to fame aged just 11 but hasn't let it go to her head, preferring to concentrate on her work rather than living the showbiz lifestyle.

She says, "I have a more normal life than people expect. When I take public transport, people are like, 'That girl looks like the girl from Harry Potter, but it can't be her on the train'. I get stopped by people, but that's fine. I'd never want to be so famous that I couldn't live a normal life to a certain extent."

And the thought of being too famous to go out unrecognised terrifies the teenage actress.

She adds, "I can't imagine anything lonelier, just not being able to be part of the real world and being trapped and locked in hotel rooms and cars." »

Watson 'Unmotivated' By Money

Actress Emma Watson has "no need" for the millions she has made from acting, because her life isn't motivated by money.

The Harry Potter star gained access to a $15 million (GBP10 million) fortune when she turned 18 in April, but the teenager hasn't been splashing the cash.

And, because of her financial independence, the star can afford to be picky about her future film roles.

She says, "The wealth side of it hasn't hit me yet because I have no need for money in my life. My life will not be motivated by money.

"I will never do a film because they're going to pay me a certain amount of money. It's liberating. It means I can hopefully make great choices." »

Watson Prefers England Over 'Bitchy' Hollywood

17 December 2008 5:29 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

British actress Emma Watson won't be moving to Hollywood anytime soon - because starlets her age are "bitchy" compared to their counterparts in the U.K.

The 18-year-old Harry Potter star admits she enjoys packing her bags for a visit to California when she's called in to work on a new film, but a permanent move is less than likely.

She tells AOL's Moviefone.com, "Never say never, but I can't imagine it. I think that it's a wonderful lifestyle that you have here - the weather is amazing and everyone seems very healthy. It seems like a really nice place to live.

"Obviously, if I had a film here or whatever, then that would be great. But I don't really know a lot of people here.

Adding of tabloid favourites her age she muses, "Gosh, I could never be that bitchy! I think that living in England, it's very disconnected from Hollywood. There's a very different approach and attitude towards it. Acting in a starry way is just not tolerated. You will just have the piss taken out of you. People will just laugh at you." »
