Kelsey Grammer to star in revenge drama with parkour star

Exclusive: Frasier actor teams up with Sebastian Foucan for Bharal.

Fledgling UK production outfit BB88 is in Cannes to talk up a slate of movies including revenge drama drama Bharal, which is due to star former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer and parkour pioneer Sebastian Foucan.

Jake L Reid’s (The Antwerp Dolls) feature, due to start in early 2018, charts the story of an African refugee who arrives in London to search for his missing sister.

When he uncovers an immigrant sex trade he becomes both a media sensation and a target for a crime syndicate, along with the immigrant community that has taken him in.

Bharal is being lined up as a co-production between BB88, Reid’s Liberal Region Productions and Compos Mentis productions.

Also new to the slate is Gate Crash, which will be directed by Laurence Gough (Dr Who). The cast includes Marc Warren (Snatch) and Anton Lesser from Game Of Thrones.

Snatch: Season Two Renewal from Crackle for Rupert Grint Drama

Sony's streaming service, Crackle, held its Upfront presentation, today and announced the Snatch TV show has been renewed for season two, according to Deadline. Based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 film of the same name, the first season was released on March 16th.Snatch stars Rupert Grint, Luke Pasqualino, Lucien Laviscount, Phoebe Dynevor, Marc Warren, Stephanie Leonidas, Juliet Aubrey, Tamer Hassan, and Dougray Scott. The Crackle drama follows a group of twenty-somethings. Aliens: new audiobook prequel on the way

Audible is releasing River Of Pain, an audiobook set between Alien and Aliens, in April....

Audible are getting in on the expanding-the-world-of-Alien game. The audiobook giants have a new project on the way (its second venture into the world of Alien), which will cover a different era to Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant film.

Covenant takes place after Prometheus but before Alien, while Audible's incoming audiobook is set after the original Alien but before James Cameron's Aliens.

Audible has put together an audio adaptation of Alien: River Of Pain, a 2014 novel by Christopher Golden.

Rupert Grint’s Hustler Hits Up The London Crime Scene In First Trailer For Snatch

Though it hasn’t garnered the same traction as, say, 24: Legacy or FX’s acclaimed Fargo, Crackle is in the process of rebooting Snatch, a serialized version of Guy Ritchie’s cult crime caper that’s due to premiere in exactly two months’ time.

Comprised of 10 episodes in total, the Snatch of 2017 is headed up by former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. He’ll play Charlie Cavendish, a budding hustler who makes a foray into London’s seedy crime scene, only to find himself in deep with the sharks. The high-stakes world of organized crime awaits, though Crackle’s interpretation looks to be a much more refined version of Ritchie’s 2000 original.

That’s a little disappointing, particularly when you consider that the gritty, unforgiving world of Snatch is part and parcel of the film’s charm, but we’re willing to lend Crackle and the creative team the »
