Fleming Ward (1886–1962)

Ward was primarily a stage and radio actor. He was the nephew of Baseball Hall of Famer John Montgomery Ward, who in the 1880s founded the first union for athletes, and fought to bring blacks and Hispanics into major league baseball. John Ward's wife Helen Dauvray was an actress and producer. A 19th Century version of the World Series, was named for her (The Dauvray Cup). See full bio »
