He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 1996 (1995 season) for Best Costume Designer for "A Midsummer's Night Dream", at the Barbican Theatre, La Grande Magia and The Way of the World.
He was awarded the 1999 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Set Designer for the 1998 production of "Oklahoma!".
He was nominated for a 2003 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Set designer of 2002 for "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", performed at the London Palladium.
He was nominated for two 2002 Laurence Olivier Theatre Awards for Best Set Designer of 2001 and Best Costume Designer of 2001 for "My Fair Lady", performed at the Royal National Theatre: Lyttelton and, later, at the Theatre Royal: Drury Lane in London, England.
Was nominated for Broadway's 1996 Tony Award as Best Scenic Designer for "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
