Everyone on the panel agreed that while the buckle trend is back in a good way, it needs to be done in moderation (case in point: Vera Wang). Kristin added, "Bigger is not always better." The next trend goes straight to the vein: celebs like Simon Cowell and Rihanna are doing IV vitamin drips to rejuvenate themselves (and they're supposed to be great for hangovers as well). The stars stepped out looking pretty and polished this week, but some rose above the rest, earing top honors for best dressed. First up is Emma Watson at the Berlin premiere of Noah. We can't look at her gorgeous Wes Gordon gown without immediately thinking of Justin Timberlake's 2006 hit, "SexyBack." The open back on her dress is the perfect sultry touch. Jennifer Connelly also stunned at the Noah premiere. She knows exactly how to work the thigh-high slit in her black Lanvin gown, and we love her faux bob hairstyle. Also looking great this week was Emmy Rossum. The Shameless actress opted for a bodycon Vera Wang dress and simple nude heels for the Need for Speed screening in New »

The magazine posted on their Instagram account a series of photos of the 18-year-old model at The Plaza Hotel decked out in some of the most fabulous looks from Nyfw Fall 2014. Kendall posed in a strapless, full-skirted pink ball gown with chandelier earrings (and a choppy, black wig) from the Oscar de la Rental collection. Stunning! She also donned a bright red fur jacket and pants combo, accessorized with a sky-high black hat from the Carolina Herrera show. Then she totally switched it up and went goth glam in a look from Vera Wang. Posing in »

What's old is new again! Everyone knows fashion is cyclical. Which is why when a few throwback styles popped up at the 2014 Golden Globes—like Lupita Nyong'o's cape—we found ourselves instantly remembering when we had seem them on the red carpet before. Take Julia Roberts' Dolce & Gabbana creation, which included a white button-down top. The casual style was similar to Sharon Stone's infamous Gap shirt, which she wore to the 1998 Oscars. Of course, the Basic Instincts star's look was a little more skin revealing (plunging neckline and all) and also included a Vera Wang skirt rather than the Lbd that the August: Osage County actress opted for. But still, it's pretty rare for »
In the photos above, these two dresses — Michelle Williams‘ famous Vera Wang from the 2006 Oscars and Lena Dunham‘s Zac Posen gown from tonight’s Golden Globes — look much less similar than they did on our TV when we first glimpsed Lena. Still, we love the chance to do a little flashback to that bold canary yellow. Also, we kinda wish that Lena would take a look at Michelle’s example of how good some sleeves would look. We have tats, too, Lena, and we understand the impulse to show them off at every opportunity, but your figure could really benefit from a little more embellishment up top.
Are we wrong? Oh, just play along and vote — who wears yellow better?
Stay tuned for more fun red carpet fashion observations from the Golden Globes!
