Lady Gaga wasn't about to upstage the bride on her big day! On Saturday, the 27-year-old pop star served as a bridesmaid at Bff Bo O'Connor's wedding. And rather than wearing an over-the-top ensemble, Gaga looked extremely normal, blending right in with the other bridesmaids in her pale pink dress. Gaga also switched up her hair for her friend's nuptials. While it looked lovely, long and blond at the Saturday "I do's," her locks were even longer and brunette the day before by the pool. Models and stars mixed and mingled at various afterparties following the 2013 Cfda Awards at NYC's Lincoln Center last night. Sofia Vergara linked up with Vera Wang at the Four Seasons hotel to celebrate the designer's Lifetime Achievement honor, which she picked up during the award show earlier in the evening. Also in attendance to show their support for Vera were Anna Wintour, Kate Mara, Greta Gerwig, and many of her fellow designers. Meanwhile, models Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Karlie Kloss danced the night away at Swarovski's soiree on top of The Standard hotel. The downtown affair also brought out Hailee Steinfeld, Kate Upton, designer Prabal Gurung, and Ellie Kemper. Documentary films often tell us the facts about a particular subject. They can be political or religious, or perhaps based on an idea that most people cannot wrap their minds around. But sometimes, you get lucky and see a film that lets you behind the scenes of something most people only dream about. That's how I felt about Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's, opening Friday in Austin.
I may not know much about fashion, but having a fashion merchandising major/style guru for a sister, I had a little bit of knowledge under my belt -- certainly enough to appreciate a good movie about fashion. Kerry Washington is one of our favorite style stars and good reason--this lady knows how to rock anything from a simple power suit to a bold technicolor frock. So we were particularly excited to see how the "Scandal" actress was going to interpret the Met Gala's punk theme tonight. And she didn't disappoint.
Kerry opted for a purple, black and inky blue Vera Wang gown for the evening. The low-plunging neckline and peplum detailing definitely gave the look a feminine flair. However, the 36-year-old star added some edgy with armpit high leather gloves and wait for it...purple streaks in her hair!
