The word "wallraffa" became a Swedish expression for describing his type of investigating journalism.

His book "Der Aufmacher", in which he portrays his experiences of working as an editor for Germany's most popular tabloid "Bild" formed the basis for the movie The Man Inside (1990).

German author and undercover journalist, best known for his books "Der Aufmacher" (Lead Story, 1977) and "Ganz unten" (Lowest of the Low, 1985).
