The Great Debaters (2007) -- A drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.
The People v. Leo Frank (2009) -- In 1913, 13-year-old Mary Phagan was found dead in the basement of the National Pencil Company in Atlanta. What followed remains one of the most complex episodes in American, Southern and Jewish history. THE PEOPLE v LEO FRANK weaves an intricate whodunnit with compelling themes of racial, religious and regional bias into an 86-minute dramatized documentary staring Will Janowitz (The Sopranos) and Seth Gilliam (The Wire).
