Fedor von Bock was born on December 3, 1880 in Küstrin, Prussia, Germany [now Kostrzyn nad Odra, Lubuskie, Poland]. He was married to Wilhelmine von der Osten. He died on May 4, 1945 in Oldenburg, Germany.
Died from injuries from an Allied air raid which killed his wife and
daughter.
German field marshal. During World War II he led German armies in
Poland, the Low Countries, France, and Russia. Won the Pour le Mérite
for "reckless bravery" as a junior officer during World War I.
