His memorial service was held at the Beverly Hills Friars Club where Billy Crystal eulogized.
Died at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada from complications just after heart surgery.
A former New York and Los Angeles businessman.
Was coaxed into show business by director Leo Penn, as Penn felt Viterelli had a unique look. Viterelli was initially hesitant, but it subsequently led to his 30+ film roles.
Was last seen in a 2004 Super Bowl commercial for Staples, in which he portrayed his mafia-esque trademark. He died just days before it aired.
Father of Joseph Vitarelli, although he spelled his name differently.
