The next Alien Day may be months away, but at New York Comic Con, Dark Horse Comics and 20th Century Fox are already gearing up for the next April 26th by announcing the upcoming April releases of Aliens: Dead Orbit and Aliens: The Original Comics Series Volume 2.

Review: Constantine the Complete Series

I may have been one of the few to like the 2005 film version of DC ComicsJohn Constantine. Yes, it had Keanu and yes it was in Los Angeles, not London, but it was an old fashioned horror film and worked better than it should have.

As a result, I was primed to enjoy NBC”s take on Constantine when it debuted in 2014. It had the right pedigree with David S. Goyer and Mark Verheiden among the producers and cast an act Brit, Matt Ryan, in the lead. What resulted, though, was something interesting and uneven that didn’t catch on with the general audience and was gone after thirteen all-too-brief episodes.

There has been enough interest in the character that Ryan was brought on to reprise his role in last season’s Arrow and he’s voicing John on the forthcoming Justice League Dark animated feature. And now, Warner »

In the same year as Marvel Studios released their first major crossover, The Avengers, Warner Bros released The Dark Knight Rises, the final chapter in Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Batman trilogy, which was firmly grounded in the notion that Bruce Wayne is the world's only superhero.

Nolan's disinterest in the larger DC toybox left Warners a few steps behind Disney and Marvel, especially after the failure of 2010's Jonah Hex and 2011's Green Lantern, the latter of which was intended as the first step into a wider universe. »
