Fans have been practically ripping their hair out about it since the first season, and the anxiety surrounding the storyline has only increased since the second season premiere when Rebecca (Mandy Moore) is seen sobbing outside their burned-down family home (we'd be lying if we said we weren't bawling our eyes out along with her). SAG Awards TV Winners: ‘Big Little Lies,’ ‘Veep’ Propel HBO Over Netflix, Hulu

The HBO vs. Netflix rivalry has never been hotter — but the premium cabler took the latest round in the awards race, triumphing at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

The premium cabler, which had 12 nominations to Netflix’s 19 going into the night, went home with five trophies — two for “Veep,” two for “Big Little Lies” (for stars Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard), and one for “Game of Thrones” (for stunt ensemble).

Netflix had to settle for just one, for Claire Foy’s star turn in “The Crown.” “Stranger Things” and “Glow” were both shut out, despite their multiple nods. Streaming had a rough night overall, with Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” — an awards favorite — also going home empty-handed. It’s a turnaround from last year, when Netflix reigned supreme on the heels of “Stranger Things,” “The Crown,” and “Orange Is the New Black.”

The unsatiable appetite for stories that tackle political headlines — and the HBO comedy’s razor-sharp

Sterling K. Brown completes awards sweep for ‘This Is Us,’ becomes first black actor to win SAG category

Sterling K. Brown completes awards sweep for ‘This Is Us,’ becomes first black actor to win SAG category
Sterling K. Brown completed his awards sweep for NBC’s “This Is Us” on Sunday, winning the Screen Actors Guild Award following his recent victories at the Critics’ Choice, Golden Globes and Emmys. In addition, Brown made history as the first black actor to ever prevail in his dramatic SAG category. His fellow nominees were David Harbour (“Stranger Things”), Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Jason Bateman (“Ozark”) and Bob Odenkirk (“Better CAll Saul”).

Since the creation of the SAG Awards in 1995, only white men had been named the winner of this race that combines both lead and supporting performances from TV dramas. The four non-white actors previously nominated here were Brown, Hector Elizondo (“Chicago Hope”), Jimmy Smits (“NYPD Blue”) and Rami Malek (“Mr. Robot”).

‘This is Us’ Wins the SAG Award For Best Drama Ensemble
The award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series (the closest thing the Screen Actors Guild Awards have to a Best Drama trophy) went to “This is Us” Sunday evening. Cast members receiving a trophy included Eris Baker, Alexandra Breckenridge, Sterling K. Brown, Lonnie Chavis, Justin Hartley, Faithe Herman, Ron Cephas Jones, Chrissy Metz, Mandy Moore, Chris Sullivan, Milo Ventimiglia, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Hannah Zeile.

This year’s nominees included two newcomers to the category: Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale,” nominated for its first season, as well as NBC’s “This is Us,” nominated for its second season — shockingly, this was one of the few categories last year where the blockbuster family drama was overlooked during its first record-breaking season on the awards circuit. (Sterling K. Brown was recognized for his work during Season 1, as he was again this year.)

Meanwhile, returning veterans to the category included “The Crown,

SAG Awards predictions head-scratcher: Can ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ win drama without having the biggest cast?

SAG Awards predictions head-scratcher: Can ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ win drama without having the biggest cast?
When it comes to the SAG Awards, size often matters. The most massive casts often run off with the ensemble prizes, which explains how “Lost” found victory at the 2005 ceremony, and how “Downton Abbey” (2012) was able to take down two-time champ “Boardwalk Empire” (2010-2011). This year, however, Gold Derby’s SAG TV predictions favor Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” to prevail despite having the second-smallest cast. Are we crazy for going against bigger ensembles?

“The Handmaid’s Tale” boasts 10 cast members on the voting ballot, ahead of only Netflix’s “The Crown” at five. Comparatively, the other nominated dramas each feature more than a dozen actors: HBO’s “Game of Thrones” at 30, Netflix’s “Stranger Things” at 17 and NBC’s “This Is Us” at 13. In recent years “Game of Thrones” and “Downton Abbey” always had the biggest casts, with “Downton” beating the HBO fantasy series in 2014 and 2015.

Matt Czuchry Says Gilmore Girls Fans Would Call Him an 'A------' in Public When He Played Logan
Matt Czuchry understands firsthand just how diehard fans of a TV series can be.

The Gilmore Girls alum, who starred as Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) college boyfriend Logan Huntzberger on the Amy Sherman-Palladino dramedy, vividly remembers coming face-to-face with viewers who confronted him in public over the actions of his character when the show was airing.

Throughout the seven-season series, Rory had three boyfriends (Dean, Jess and Logan), and most viewers sided with one of them, eventually sparking Team Dean, Team Jess and Team Logan.

“When you go out into the world, do you have to deal with the rivalry of these teams?
