Oh, the vintage shop; place of untold treasures, unusual trinkets, and the occasional haunted ouija board that might make you attempt to commit murder. Abigail Blackmore's wonderfully clever and funny short Vintage Blood takes us inside just such a shop. It's played at numerous festivals (including FrightFest, for which I am the short films programmer), won awards including the Audience's Choice at Triforce Short Film Festival and Best Screenplay at Unrestricted View Film Festival, it is now available to watch online. Indira Varma (Game of Thrones, Rome) runs a sweet little shop in a typical London side street, and one day a strange customer (a wonderful cameo by Sophie Thompson) leaves behind a ouija board. But this particular board seems to be cursed, and the...

Okay so this is a cheat because Jon Snow Is Dead, people. Say it with me. Dead. As a doornail. And all of you who expected him to rise from the flames by the end of this episode? Think again. That’s me included, by the way. Jon (Kit Harington) is the first person we see thanks to a lovely crane shot past the Wall (foreshadowing the fact it’s coming down soon, maybe?) into Castle Black, before the Greatest Man in Westeros (*citation needed) aka Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) pops up to do what he always does – protect and serve. Only this time he’s protecting the right man, not a false king like Stannis the (dead) Mannis, and facing the corruption of the dastardly Ser Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) as he begins »

In our world, winter may be over, but in Westeros, this chilly season is still coming, when Game of Thrones returns with the Season 6 premiere on Sunday, April 24. While it isn't known if any more footage will be revealed between now and Sunday night, HBO has released nine new photos from the season premiere, entitled The Red Woman, featuring some of the most beloved and hated characters in all of Westeros and Essos. The first image, courtesy of HBO, features Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), as they cross what must be an icy river. At the end of Season 5, we saw Theon help Sansa escape from Winterfell, as they both jumped over the wall together. We don't know exactly where they're going quite yet, »

Earlier this month, HBO finally released the first footage from Season 6 of Game of Thrones in a new trailer, which revealed a number of important details. One of the trailer's first scenes showed Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) returning from Dorne, with his dead daughter Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) in tow, and his reunion with sister/lover Cersei (Lena Headey). Both of these siblings went through quite a lot in Season 5, and the trailer hints that they plan on getting back everything that was taken from them as Season 6 kicks off. Entertainment Weekly caught up with Lena Headey, who says that Season 6 will take Cersei and Jamie's relationship to some weird and dark places.
"It's probably her most interesting season. She really has nothing to lose and she has everything to gain from a horrible position she finds herself in. Her relationship with Jaime is at an all-time weird level. It's juicy, »
