Buzz Blabber: The Great Gatsby Is Already Capturing Hearts

27 May 2012 3:05 AM, PDT | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Between the glittery pictures and the trailer for The Great Gatsby, moviegoers are already looking forward to Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous novel. However, it was a big week for TV, too, and with finales popping off like champagne corks at one of Gatsby's soirees, everyone had something to say about the dramatic season enders of Glee and Revenge. The Great Gatsby might be Baz's next hit "Love Leo, I always envisioned him as Gatsby! The trailer looks great. The scenes, clothes - gosh, I love the roaring '20s! Can't wait until the movie comes out." - BlackKitty "Amazing. Baz has done it again! Buzz, it might be said that the modern music may be used in the same way as done in Moulin Rouge - perhaps as an example of how revolutionary the music was of the time period, like architecture and entertainment? »

Revenge: the high-society whodunnit that is frighteningly addictive

25 May 2012 4:05 PM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Wigs worthy of Joan Collins, a perceptive dog, and a comeback for Madeleine Stowe … We're hooked already. Here are 10 reasons to watch Revenge, which starts on E4 on Monday May 28 at 9pm

See a gallery of the characters here

It's a classic whodunnit

Revenge begins on a beach in the Hamptons, playground of New York's ultra-rich. Pop pop! A man is shot as a party sparkles in a mansion behind him. It's instantly gripping: "Who is he? Who shot him? And why?" Then it's distracting: "Just look at their fantastic skin, and those outfits, and their abdominals, and the interior decor, and the actual Van Gogh perched on an easel in what we're guessing they call the Champagne Brunch Room … "

It's a tale of hidden identity

Our heroine is Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp). When she was a girl, her daddy got framed by his powerful Hamptons mates and was killed in prison. »

During Wednesday’s high-octane finale of Revenge, it was revealed that Emily (Emily Van Camp) may not be alone in this world after all.

Her mother lives!

That means a new foe for Victoria will pop up in season 2. Oh, the possibilities! To whet our appetites, this is what creator Mike Kelley had to say about the new part to EW’s Tanner Stransky: “What we really want to do is find the perfect actor for the role. It would be really great for her to be as formidable as Madeleine , but it’s a completely different part. What you »

'Revenge' shocker: Will Season 2 include Madeleine Stowe?

24 May 2012 1:57 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Revenge" fans should have known better when, in Wednesday night's Season 1 finale, it seemed that Emily (Emily VanCamp) might have a chance at happiness. With her father about to be exonerated and the potential for a reunion with her childhood love, Jack (Nick Wechsler), things were looking up for our sympathetic sociopath.

And then, well, something hit the fan. The plane carrying all the evidence (or so we thought) to clear her father went down -- taking Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) with it, it seemed. Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) overdosed on pills after learning of her mother's potential death. Daniel (Josh Bowman) was last seen boozing it up with Ashley (Ashley Madekwe). And that's not to mention the return of "Amanda" (Margarita Levieva), supposedly seventeen months pregnant with Jack's baby.

The biggest question as we look toward Season 2 is whether Madeleine Stowe will return as Victoria Grayson. After all, when a private jet literally explodes, »

'Revenge' season finale: Creator Mike Kelley answers burning questions!

24 May 2012 1:20 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

Last night’s season finale of ABC’s delectable soap Revenge — perfectly titled “Reckoning” — was, in a word, explosive. And filled with juicy cliffhanger after cliffhanger.

With so many doors opened, there are so many questions that are begged: Is Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) really dead? What’s going on with the increasingly tangled love life of Emily (Emily Van Camp), Jack (Nick Wechsler), Amanda (Margarita Levieva), Daniel (Josh Bowman), and Ashley (Ashley Madekwe)? Is Amanda’s baby really Jack’s? Who will play Emily’s mother? And what will the character be like? How did the show so perfectly »

Revenge Finale Thoughts and an Alias Comparison

Revenge Finale Thoughts and an Alias Comparison

Now that’s how you do a cliff-hanger and Revenge has left us with one humdinger of a finale with several twists to the story (for a full round up head here). The ultimate shocking moment is what Nolan (Gabriel Mann) has discovered in the evidence that would convict Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny) of hiring someone to murder David Clarke (James Tupper). Warning spoilers ahead for Revenge and Alias.

The huge reveal is that Emily’s mother is still alive and is somehow involved in the overall conspiracy of the show. There is a certain Alias vibe to this and there are also shared characteristics between Emily and Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) that we will be exploring.

For most of the first season of Alias we were led to believe that Sydney Bristow's mother had died in a car crash; this wasn't the »

‘Revenge’ Season Finale: Emily Discovers A Twisted Family Secret

23 May 2012 9:06 PM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

The season finale of 'Revenge' brought Emily face-to-face with her worst enemy of all — but that wasn't the biggest surprise of the night! Through trickery and a fake break-in, Emily (Emily VanCamp) secured the evidence linking everyone to the terrorist attack on the May 23 season finale of Revenge; all she needed was Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to break into the Grayson Global security protecting the software. But her trusted confidant was unreachable, and when Emily arrived at his house looking for him, she found a message urging her to call the white-haired man. Eventually, they agreed to meet face-to-face — as if Emily would handle avenging her father's death any other way. After chloroforming herself to maintain secrecy, Emily woke up handcuffed next to Nolan, and the white-haired man threatened to torture her friend if she didn't tell him where she hid the evidence. Emily revealed a fake location, broke »

'Revenge' Season 1 finale: Emily VanCamp and Gabriel Mann drop a few clues

23 May 2012 12:00 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

What will be the biggest punishment endured by the characters on "Revenge" after Wednesday's season finale?

"I can only hope that some of us sort of learn our lessons and realize that treating people this way will ultimately lead to somebody dying," star Christa Allen tells Zap2It Sunday (May 20) at ABC's international upfront. She joined her fellow cast members on the red carpet as they celebrated the series' renewal and offered a whatever clues the could for the end of the first season.

"So many things happen, there's almost literally a cliffhanger for all of our characters," Gabriel Mann says, stressing that the final hour will demonstrate "the importance of picking up the phone when somebody calls."

Added the show's lead, Emily VanCamp, "There's so many possibilities. You're wondering where these people are going to be. ... It's a really, moving episode. It's dramatic; it's an epic, solid revenge."

Gabriel Mann Previews 'Revenge' Finale Shockers

23 May 2012 8:02 AM, PDT | TheInsider.com | See recent The Insider news »

In its first season Revenge has transformed into the kind of breakout hit every network dreams of -- not only does it boast a beautiful cast of press-friendly actors and the kind of delicious writing that few could pull off convincingly, but it's amassed a passionately engaged audience that talks and Tweets about every plot turn in every episode. But what I continue to love about Revenge is that I will never be a bigger fan than the actors who help bring it to life.

And if there was to be a President of the Revenge Fan Club, it would be star Gabriel Mann.

He's not only the most tapped in star (you Must following the hashtag-loving lad on Twitter), but also has no shame in admitting what a massive fan he is of creator Mike Kelly's world and his co-stars' work. In anticipation of tonight's season finale, I caught up with Gabe to find out »

In its first season, ABC’s Revenge offered numerous twists and turns. With the first season ending tonight, I look at the show’s most memorable moments so far. Over at The Daily Beast, you can read my latest feature, "Revenge: The 10 Most Memorable Twists in the Wicked First Season," in which I offer up the most surprising, exciting, or upsetting moments in the wicked drama to date. The first season of ABC’s Revenge wraps up tonight, likely leading to a major cliffhanger that will propel the Mike Kelley-created drama into its second year of betrayals, bait-and-switches, and vengeance plots, as Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) continues her campaign of destruction against the mercenary and venal Grayson clan. Revenge itself can be looked at in several ways: a revenge fantasy for the 99 percent against the wealthy ruling class embodied by the morally corrupt Graysons, an ensemble drama »

'Revenge' Finale Scoop: Deaths, Explosions, Breakups & So Much More

23 May 2012 5:40 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

The "Revenge" Season 1 finale will be full of what viewers have come to know and love about the series: Emily "revenging." But will she kill?

In an interview with EW, Mike Kelley, the show's creator, said Emily's (Emily Van Camp) search for the white-haired man will put her in quite a predicament. "The question is, Is Emily willing to kill? Is she willing to take that final step?" Kelley teased. "For this show, the punishment fits the crime, so she’ll be faced with that decision, and, oddly enough, Nolan will try to be the voice of reason. It’s an eye for an eye. That’s how revenge works on this show."

Whether or not Emily does pull the trigger, thrusts the knife, or kills in some other way, somebody is going to die, Kelley told EW. Madeleine Stowe told TVLine that not one, “but actually several,” deaths could happen in the finale. »

Revenge: Madeleine Stowe Teases a 'Literally Explosive' Finale and Stunning Twist for Victoria

22 May 2012 5:00 PM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

That “Emily Thorne” has any Revenge to exact every Wednesday night on ABC is due in large part to Victoria Grayson being complicit in framing David Clarke, her one true love and Amanda’s father, for a horrific crime all those years ago.

“It’s a real character flaw,” admits Madeleine Stowe, who plays the oft-icy society queen. And one the actress hopes to one day delve into.

“[Series creator] Mike Kelly and I have discussed a long backstory for Victoria that would eventually make you understand her damage,” she tells TVLine. Provided, that is, Victoria even makes it out of this week’s season finale alive. »

Revenge Round Table: "Grief"

Revenge wraps up its thrilling first season on Wednesday.

But before we get to the "Reckoning," let's talk "Grief." Below, we invite readers to join staff writers Matt Richenthal, Christine Orlando, Chandel Charles and Leigh Raines as they dissect the penultimate episode of season one...

-------------------------------------------

What was your favorite scene from the episode?

Matt: Victoria slicing open that painting and wiping that smile off Lydia's smug face. Once a fraud, always a fraud. Point, succubus.

Christine: I can't get enough of Nolan. He was so happy that Emily forgave him for his deception and actually thanked him. Nolan's so cute because as much as he wants to help and protect her, he also craves Emily's praise and acceptance. Unfortunately, it may just cost him his life.

Chandel: Probably when Nolan was faking it as the cable guy. He wanted to get in on the Revenge action the whole time »
