The story of Boris Undorf begins in Odessa, Ukraine of the former
Soviet Union. Leaving behind the Black Sea and the Communist regime in
1989, he immigrated with his family to the U.S., settling in San
Francisco. Boris quickly strayed from the traditional family career
path in dentistry, becoming involved in the world of the performing
arts. For several years he studied at the acclaimed American
Conservatory Theater and appeared in many stage productions around the
Bay Area. Filmmaking being a strong passion since childhood, he began
to make short films after receiving a video camera from his parents on
his twelfth birthday. Nearly a decade later, he made his feature film
debut with _Sonata (2003) (V)_ while attending film school in Santa Barbara,
California. Boris now lives in Los Angeles, focusing on his filmmaking
career, actively in search of another story to tell.
