Chris Udvarnoky (1961–2010)

Chris and his twin brother, Marty, were chosen for the roles of Niles and Holland Perry after a nationwide talent search. They were studying and appearing in plays at the HB (Herbert Berghof) Studio in NYC. Berghof (was it coincidence?) was the husband of Uta Hagen, who played the twins' grandmother, Ada, in the film. Chris and his brother's teacher had heard of the search for twin actors to play the Perry twins. She sent their photo to Fox's casting office, and after some interviews, the brothers won the roles. They had no prior acting experience and their only publicity before was as star catchers on rival teams in the local Little League. See more »
