The Fast and Furious franchise has had a storied existence. What started out as a drama involving a cop getting in too deep turned into a ridiculous, over-the-top, superhero franchise with almost as many explosions as your average Transformers flick (okay, maybe not almost as many). Like any good TV series, the Fast and Furious series has taken some time to find its sea legs, and when the fourth film hit, it seemed clear that they knew which direction they needed to be heading in.
Now, several years later, we find ourselves a couple short months from the release of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the series. In spite of original lead Paul Walker’s tragic death a few years back, the gang is still moving forward in style. This time around, however, they’re short one more man in the form of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto. »

Barring an assembly of slick supercars, what’s the one thing Transformers: The Last Knight and The Fate of the Furious have in common? Yes, you guessed it; heroes gone rogue. In Michael Bay’s blockbuster sequel, it is Optimus Prime who turns his back on Bumblebee and Co., seemingly under the influence of the invading Unicron.
But when it comes to The Fate of the Furious, F. Gary Gray’s star-studded actioner really kicks off when Vin Diesel’s super-gruff Dominic Toretto, a character that has anchored Universal’s gleefully over-the-top franchise from the very beginning, walks out on Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and the rest of his dysfunctional family. As today’s all-new international trailer shows, that change of heart comes at a time when Toretto crosses paths with Charlize Theron’s Cipher, a mysterious woman who “seduces Dom into the world of crime” he thought he left behind. »

'You love me, and you are not going to shoot me!' That's that ultimatum Letty drops at Dom's feet in the new International trailer for The Fate of the Furious. This one minute clip arrives with plenty of action and big explosions, and offers a few more details about the story. Though, it's still unclear what has turned Dom against his family.
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game, with the rest of the crew being exonerated, the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape, and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before. Universal’s upcoming eighth installment in the Fast & Furious saga, The Fate of the Furious, has just received an international trailer. Despite the video being relatively short (clocking in at around one minute), it manages to both show off never-before-seen footage and give a sneak peek at production on the music video for one of the film’s original songs. Watch it below…
The trailer places quite a bit of emphasis on the relationship between Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), a dynamic that previous spots and trailers for Fate failed to highlight, instead showcasing the over-the-top action set pieces fans have come to expect.
Many were surprised when the Fate team announced they’d be heading to Cuba to shoot scenes, but the beautiful scenery on display in the trailer indicates it was a good decision. Toretto and Ortiz couldn’t have chosen a better honeymoon spot. »

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. It may be a little hard to believe, but the eighth movie in The Fast and the Furious franchise will be coming out in a little under two months. Somehow, Universal has turned a couple of movies about good looking people, fast cars and crime into one of the most successful and long-running franchises ever. The upcoming installment, The Fate of the Furious, is going to be a massive movie in more ways than one. Not only will it be big on action and spectacle, but the movie is reportedly going to be nearly three hours long.
IMDb recently updated The Fate of the Furious movie page and now has the movie listed with a reported run time of 160 minutes. Yes, if this new information is true, Fast and Furious 8 is going to be by far the longest movie in the franchise and one of the more lengthy movies to be released in recent memory. »
Between the countless absurd action sequences, fist-pumping one-liners and monologues about family, you’d think each Fast & Furious film had a lengthy runtime, but such is not the case — at least not yet. According to European movie site Cinemarx, the upcoming eighth entry in the beloved franchise, The Fate of the Furious, will be the longest film yet.
Over time, the Fast & Furious movies have generally been getting longer, while still remaining at a reasonable length, with the first four films in the series all running in the 100-minute range and the three more recent movies in the 130-minute range. In fact, Furious 7 was the previous title holder of longest in the series, coming in at 137 minutes. Despite this trend, »

Fast and Furious 8, or indeed The Fate and the Furious as it is being referred to Stateside, just got a new promo for the Super Bowl, and it is as action-packed as you expect it to be. Vin Diesel‘s Dominic Toretto goes rogue in the new adventure, which also sees the return of Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and many more.

"You guys are going to work together." Universal has debuted their official Super Bowl TV spot for F. Gary Gray's The Fate of the Furious, following up the first trailer, from December, for this sequel. This new spot has plenty of totally cheesy footage, but of course fans will eat it up anyway. Vin Diesel leads the way, with a cast including Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, Lucas Black, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, plus two newcomers: Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron. This ends with a submarine and a missile evasion action scene, I mean come on, how absurd is that. Of course it has to be this crazy, why not. The wrecking ball scene looks like it will be fun, but I'm not so sure about the sub. Who's excited to see this? Here's the full Super Bowl TV »

The Fast & Furious films have spent seven movies building up the gang as a family. In fact, I’m pretty sure family is the single most used word in the entire franchise. So driven home was the fact that they were all family, that one never thought they’d turn on each other.
When the first trailer for Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the series (On a side note, is anyone else annoyed they didn’t write it as “F8 of the Furious”?), hit the web, it was revealed that for some unknown reason, Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, would turn on the gang. Of course, the question going into the movie will be, “Why, Dominic, why?” But, seeing as the film isn’t hitting for some time, I don’t expect a real answer anytime soon.
Until then, let’s just enjoy the fun round »

Fans of the Transformers franchise had a good reason to tune into the big game today, as Paramount Pictures debuted a brand new Super Bowl TV spot for Transformers: The Last Knight. In addition to the new footage, the Transformers Facebook page also did some pre-game coverage for the Super Bowl that had some interesting advertising for Transformers 5 weaved in. Specifically, they decided to show off some baby Dinobots.
The video, which debuted on the official Transformers Facebook page, is very strange, but does feature new looks at the Dinobots that are going to appear in Transformers: The Last Knight, which include Slug, Grimlock and Strafe. The video doesn't feature a ton of new footage from the actual movie, but it does have quick glimpses of what appears to be the Dinobots in action. The majority of the video is commentary done in the style of a prototypical football announcer, »

Universal Pictures has released the Super Bowl TV spot for The Fate of the Furious (or Fast & Furious 8 as it will be known in the UK), and it’s every bit as batsh*t crazy you probably expected! Featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson taking on Vin Diesel, the foo-oh, who are we kidding? That’s probably all you need to know to want to check this out immediately!
All jokes aside, this looks like tremendous fun, even if 99% of what we see is ridiculous.
In Fast & Furious 8, the movie kicks off with Dom and Letty on their honeymoon, while Brian and Mia have retired from the game. The rest of the crew meanwhile has been exonerated, and the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. Universal’s next “Fast and Furious” chapter finds Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty on their honeymoon, with the rest of the crew exonerated, finding a semblance of a normal life. However, when a new villain, played by Charlize Theron, who’s making her debut in the franchise, seduces Dom into a world of crime he can’t seem to escape, the family will face a new set of trials.

Yesterday, The Rock teased us all by saying that he had seen the new trailer for The Fate of the Furious that Universal prepared for the Super Bowl. In an Instagram post, he said "Just watched our trailer that'll air during the Super Bowl. Fire. Very strong. Universal did a tremendous job and during the 2nd quarter, you'll see for yourself. Get your popcorn ready... 'cause daddy's gotta go to work." Well, now we can all see it, because the trailer has made its way online.
Universal decided it was a good idea to spend a few million dollars in order to promote The Fate of the Furious during the Super Bowl with this new spot, and why not? They have the most bankable star in the world right now with Dwayne Johnson and given how unbelievably successful Furious 7 was, audiences are sure to be excited that a new »
In “The Fate of the Furious” Super Bowl Li trailer, the family is facing its greatest foe in Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and there’s even more car-crashing and face-punching. F. Gary Gray’s directorial debut in the franchise looks packed with over-the-top action. We already knew a submarine would factor into a car chase, but we didn’t know it was going to try to take Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) with it. The eighth film in the franchise turns series protagonist Dom against his allies and is, apparently, working for villain Charlize Theron. We’re not sure what’s going on there — brainwashing? »

During the Super Bowl’s second quarter, Universal shared a new trailer, which features enough fast cars, explosions and betrayal to satisfy your “Fast & Furious” cravings.
Directed by “Straight Outta Compton” helmer F. Gary Gray, the movie sees the crew trying to live normal lives after the events of “Furious 7.” But when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into a world of crime he cannot seem to escape, causing him to betray those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
