Jerry Lewis and 10 Other Celebrities Who Left (Or Plan to Leave) Their Kids Nothing
Jerry Lewis’s six children from his first marriage are getting zilch when it comes to an inheritance, but the comedian isn’t the only mega celebrity whose last will and testament left his or her kids in the lurch.

The future of Lewis’s estate was revealed on Thursday, when People obtained his will from The Blast. According to the documents, Lewis “intentionally excluded” all six of his children with his first wife Patti Palmer — meaning they will inherit nothing.

Lewis’s potentially vast estate will be passed to his widow, SanDee Pitnick. Second in line to inherit his fortune,

Steve Bannon once got top billing within Donald Trump‘s administration and served at the embattled president’s side during the early days of his leadership. Now, Bannon is saying goodbye to the White House.

“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day,” Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed in a statement on Friday. “We are grateful for his service and wish him the best.”

The news came as a shock to some considering the former Breitbart News executive chairman had served as the White House Chief Strategist and Trump’s senior counselor.

Mindy Newell: A Madman With A Box

  • Comicmix
I was going to get political again this week, but it’s too goddamn depressing. Here are some headlines just from yesterday, courtesy of that #FakeNews Enemy of the People publication, that “old Grey Lady,” the New York Times:

E.P.A. Chief Voids Obama-Era Rules In Blazing Start Medicaid Plan Risks Changing Life For Millions ‘I’m President And They’re Not’: Trump Attack Brings Crowd To Its Feet Trump Administration Targets Parents In New Immigration Crackdown

And then there are the tweets. After Il Tweetci the Mad – formerly known as “Il Trumpci the Mad” – went on a rampage against Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough this past Thursday – what the fuck is with his obsession over women and blood? How the hell did Ivanka, Marla, and Melania ever get pregnant, much less get near enough to a “man” who is so phobic over natural functions to allow it to happen?

Our Vince McMahon Biopic Feature Script - From 1999

by Terry Keefe

Just noticed that a Vince McMahon biopic called Pandemonium has been set up at Sony, with Vince’s authorization. It’s a great title and as old school wrestling fans know, “Pandemonium is breaking loose!” was one of Vince’s catchphrases as an announcer going back to at least the early 80s. At the age of 13 or so, I shouted that phrase a lot myself when I played Vince in our backyard wrestling league on Long Island — Jim Erhardt will attest to this. I just wasn’t agile enough for the dropkicks, but I could announce and had an early consumer-level Betamax camera, with a separate camera that had a cord attached to a bulky deck, for dual-duties as wrestling film auteur.

Wayyyy back in 1999, Michael Wechsler and I took an unauthorized stab at the Vince biopic subject matter with a script called Mat Wars. Here’s

Film News: TCM Host & Film Historian Robert Osborne Dies at 84

New York City – Robert Osborne, one of the great film advocates and historians of our era, who hosted on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) with passionate skill from 1994 until recently, has passed away on March 6th, 2017, in New York City. The way that Mr. Osborne inspired film lovers everywhere was deep and influential. He was 84.

I was lucky enough to meet the man, naturally at a Chicago movie theater, back in 2005. Five years later, as I became a film reporter myself, I got to interview Ro via phone. He was the type of film man that you could spend a month with and never come to the end of his knowledge, and the way he shared it as the host on TCM was as if the finest uncle was giving us life lessons. Next to Roger Ebert, Robert Osborne is another reporter legend who galvanized my love for film.

A Brief History of Celebrity Split Announcements (and Parties)
This week’s news that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are taking a “respectful, loving space” from their relationship has us thinking about all the ways that celebrities have announced breakups in the past.

Lea DeLaria and fiancée Chelsea Fairless announced their split in January with probably the funniest public missive we’ve ever read — that announced a breakup, that is. “We were happy together for four years and will remain in each other’s lives,” DeLaria’s Instagram post, shared days after their scheduled wedding date, read. “In fact, we look forward to finding new ways to torture each other.

Before Breitbart, Steve Bannon Wrote a Lot of Messed-Up Screenplays
Now that Steve Bannon has made the jump from Breitbart executive chair to Donald Trump’s right hand man, people are trying to find out everything they can about him. Well, it turns out that before Bannon jumped into far-right media, he had a stint as a filmmaker and financier in showbiz, writing and pitching projects to Hollywood’s power brokers. Bannon owes a great deal of his wealth to negotiating Ted Turner’s sale of Castle Rock Entertainment to Westinghouse Electric, according to a report by Quartz’s Ashley Rodriguez. To show Westinghouse his confidence that the deal would pay off,

Remember when Captain Planet did an episode on AIDS?

Following the announcement of a new live-action film produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and their discussion on the Flickering Myth Podcast, Luke Owen looks back at the Captain Planet and the Planeteers episode “Formula for Hate”…

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, no subject was perhaps more taboo than HIV and AIDS. Though many had died previously, the disease became headline news when actor Rock Hudson died of AIDS in 1985 and it quickly became a hot topic of debate. Most media outlets were afraid to touch or broach the subject because public opinion swayed so much, mostly due to a lack of knowledge. Prolific comedian Eddie Murphy performed a routine about the fear of AIDS on his infamous Delirious show in 1983 where he says, “AIDS is scary because it kills motherfuckers… It petrifies me ‘cos girls be hanging out with them [homosexuals]. One night they could be in the club having fun with their gay-friend,

‘Notorious’: After 32 Years at CNN, Producer Wendy Walker Finally Gets to Make Up the News
You couldn’t script some of the things Wendy Walker experienced as a live news producer at CNN. But now, the new ABC drama “Notorious” aims to do just that.

The series, which launches Thursday night, stars Piper Perabo as a TV news producer who develops a friendship and alliance with a superstar defense attorney (Daniel Sunjata). The show is inspired by Walker’s lengthy CNN career and her pal, real-life defense attorney Mark Geragos.

The veteran news producer spent 32 years at CNN (including 18 of those as executive producer of “Larry King Live”), focusing on breaking news and other live coverage.

Michael Wolff on the Murdoch Father-Sons Feud Over Fox News Post-Roger Ailes

Michael Wolff on the Murdoch Father-Sons Feud Over Fox News Post-Roger Ailes
Fascinated by its growing influence and low-cost structure, and noting the flakiness of its owner, Ted Turner, Rupert Murdoch made several attempts to buy CNN between 1993 and 1995. Rebuffed by Turner, who thought as little of Murdoch as Murdoch thought of him, CNN was sold to Time Warner in 1996. In something of a this-is-war huff, Murdoch vowed to start his own cable news network. Fox News, launched that year, was not meant to be the right-wing lightning rod that it became under Roger Ailes. It was originally meant to compete with CNN for influence,
