4 hours ago | TheImproper.com | See recent TheImproper.com news »

Donald Trump’s triumphant entry into the Republican National Convention could end not with a bang, but a trail of lawsuits. Trump and the Gop pirated at least seven classic rock songs during the Convention, infuriating the artists who own the rights to them. British rock band Queen, ’70s R&B band Earth, Wind & Fire and ’60s English rock group The Turtles have all complained about the Trump campaign’s unauthorized use of their music during the four-day convention. ...Read MoreDonald Trump, Law & Order Candidate, Steals 7 Songs for Gop Convention was first posted on July 24, 2016 at 3:13 pm.

Michael Bloomberg to Endorse Hillary Clinton

4 hours ago | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

Michael Bloomberg, who was elected mayor of New York City as a Republican, will speak at the Democratic National Convention to endorse Hillary Clinton for president. Spokesman Marc Lavorgna says Bloomberg will make the endorsement speech Wednesday night. The billionaire media mogul opted against running as a third-party candidate for fear it might siphon away votes from Clinton and help elect Republican Donald Trump. Bloomberg has been sharply critical of Trump, and in particular of his fellow New Yorker's inflammatory rhetoric on immigration. Bloomberg had previously been a Democrat before switching his party affiliation to Republican before his successful

Clinton’s Campaign Alleges a Pro-Trump Russia’s Part in DNC Email Leak

5 hours ago | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Emails are, once again, the bane of the Democratic Party’s existence. The controversy over WikiLeaks’ release of 19,000 emails allegedly sent from DNC officials showing an anti-Bernie Sanders pro-Hillary Clinton bias has snowballed to ginormous proportions. Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” Sunday that he believes pro-Donald Trump forces in Russia are behind it. “I don’t think it’s coincidental that these emails were released on the eve of our convention here, and I think that’s disturbing,” Mook said. Mook believes that Trump’s »

John Ostrander: Our Lonely Nation Turns Its Eyes To You

11 hours ago | Comicmix.com | See recent Comicmix news »

The Republican National Convention Circus came to town last week and they made the big clown their ringmaster.

As you might guess, I am not a supporter of Donald Trump. Evidently neither is Senator Ted Cruz, who declined to get behind the party’s nominee during a nationally televised prime time speech at the Republican National Convention. That was interesting.

ComicMix is about pop culture and you certainly can examine the Rnc from that perspective. It was entertaining, in a sick way, and had more than a few surprises. It was like a Big League version of a reality show… and Trump knows about reality shows, believe me.

However, I think that the best thing coming out of the Rnc was the return of Jon Stewart. He appeared at least twice on his old buddy Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show (I’m writing this before Friday night’s show »

Sdcc 2016: New CBS Series Star Trek: Discovery Gets First Look Teaser!

23 July 2016 3:59 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

Star Trek fans may already be whetting their appetites at the movie theaters this weekend with Star Trek Beyond, but diehard fans may be looking forward to the upcoming series even more, which is bound to be a more slow and meditative exercise in storytelling.

The series is entitled Star Trek: Discovery, and it is heading to the CBS All Access streaming platform next year (and Netflix for countries that aren't the U.S. and Canada). Recently at Comic-Con, CBS released a first look teaser for the show. It's nothing super special: just a series of shots for the titular U.S.S. Discovery. If nothing else, it's a bold reminder that we'll need to adjust our expectations in the visual effects realm to a TV level.

Check out the first look teaser below!

Roger Ailes’ Departure Doesn’t Stop Sex-Harassment Allegations At Fox News

23 July 2016 2:01 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Roger Ailes was ousted from the top position at Fox News Channel Thursday in the wake of allegations of sexual-harassment made against him, but controversy continues to swell around the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news outlet.

New York magazine and The New York Times on Saturday posted reports about the departure of former Fox News correspondent Rudi Bahktiar, who told both outlets she was forced out last decade by senior executives after complaining about harassment by a colleague, Brian Wilson, who was slated to become the network’s next Washington Bureau Chief. Bakhtiar told New York she won $670,000 plus legal fees through mediation, and felt compelled to break a non-disclosure agreement now by the recent imbroglio swirling at Fox News. Gretchen Carlson, a Fox News anchor who was on the air until June, earlier this month filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment by Ailes, which in turn spurred an internal review by the network’s parent company that »

'South Park' creator Trey Parker has an amazing Elon Musk anecdote

22 July 2016 8:45 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

San Diego - Earlier this evening, I sat in on the packed Hall H panel for South Park's 20th season with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with Chris Hardwick serving as moderator. Here are 20 big highlights from the wildly-entertaining Q&A. 1. The creators of Pokemon Go basically stole their idea (kind of). "We did an episode called 'Chinpokomon' where the kids were just buying dolls, and the dolls had a chip in them that could track where the kids were and send all the info to Japan so that they could control America and bomb Pearl Harbor. I'm like, they ripped off our fucking thing!" 2. The studio wanted to make South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut PG-13. "The reason to do the movie was to make it R-rated. We had a big argument with the studio [because they wanted to make it] PG-13. And we're like, 'we're not doing PG-13.' Because you know, »

Trump's Bumps: His Most Notable Missteps on the Campaign Trail

Throughout this year's presidential election, people have had a lot to say about Republican nominee Donald Trump. Chrissy Teigen called him a "twat." Sarah Palin dubbed his campaign a "movement." And these incidents explain why Trump's managed to avoid that certain descriptor throughout his campaign. The generalization of Mexican-American immigrants.Trump started off his campaign on a controversial note. During his launch event back in June 2015 at Trump Tower in New York City, he first introduced his plan to build a wall separating Mexico and the United States, »
