Trivia:

When New Edition was recording their 1988 album Heartbreak, Ralph had a little trouble with Johnny Gill joining the group. Johnny Gill wasn't from Boston and Ralph (who was working on a solo album at the time) felt uneasy with Johnny taking Bobby Brown's place.
