Sundance gets pay-TV, vid rights to 'Omagh'

Sundance Channel has nabbed home video and U.S. pay-TV rights to the Anglo-Irish drama Omagh, which examines the 1998 Real IRA bombing that killed 31 in the small town of Omagh, Ireland. The film, directed by Pete Travis and written by Guy Hibbert and Paul Greengrass (Bloody Sunday), will be released on DVD and VHS Oct. 11 by Sundance Channel Home Entertainment through Hart Sharp Video. The film made its U.S. premiere as the opening-night movie at the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival in New York City last night (June 9). It will make its U.S. television debut next year on the Sundance. »
