Fox has released the opening couch gag and clip for this weekend's Simpsons and Futurama crossover episode called "Simpsorama," which will send the Simpsons to the 31st century. The episode follows a "Terminator-esque story that involves Bart blowing his nose on a sandwich that he places in a time capsule. When that mixes with Milhouse’s rabbit’s foot and some radioactive ooze, it creates a global catastrophe in the future, prompting Bender to travel back in time to kill Bart and prevent this mega-mess." The episode also has a great tagline that reads, "A show out of ideas teams up with a show out of episodes."

This is going to be quite the epic event for fans of both series. It will definitely be good to see the return of the characters from Futurama. The episode will also reunite the Futurama voice cast of Billy West, John Dimaggio, Katey Sagal, »

The Simpsons - Futurama Crossover and Character Death Planned This Season

2 August 2014 11:45 AM, PDT | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

I haven’t watched a full season of The Simpsons for quite a few years now, but my I’ll dip my toe in every now and then to see if it’s worth taking the plunge and keeping up with the show again. Unfortunately, I just haven't felt the magic of seasons past when I tune in to watch new episodes. The show has piqued my interest recently, though, with the 5-minutes of footage Fox released for their upcoming Family Guy crossover. And there is yet another crossover coming this season that is too irresistible to pass up.

The Wrap reports that this November The Simpsons will have a Futurama crossover that will feature voice actors Billy West, John Dimaggio, Katey Sagal, Maurice Lamarche, Phil Lamarr, Lauren Tom, and Tress MacNeille. There’s no word on how their characters will cross paths with the Simpson clan, but we’re »

Sleepy Hollow

Speaking at the TCA's this week, the producers of Fox's supernatural procedural hit "Sleepy Hollow" say they don't plan to shake-up the successful formula anytime soon. For starters, the Abbie and Crane relationship won't devolve into flirting/underlying sexual tension for a good while as yet.

Producer Len Wiseman says: "[Abbie and Ichabod] have a respect for each other. We're really not playing their relationship on the romantic side". The expanded second season will also boast new villains including the Pied Piper, a Succubus and a Wendigo. Timothy Busfield will guest star as Benjamin Franklin, while Sakina Jaffrey will play no-nonsense Sheriff Leena Reyes. [Source: The Live Feed]

If you think the next new episode of The Simpsons will be casualty-free, you’ve made a grave mistake: The anticipated installment that features the death of a familiar face has been slated as the season 26 premiere. Looking back at Bill Murray's lost sci-fi movie

11 July 2014 3:43 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Nothing Lasts Forever is a 1984 sci-fi movie with Zach Galligan and Bill Murray that disappeared. Yet it's resurfaced.

Feature

I love a good quest. There’s nothing that drives a plot quite like it, from Jason setting out to find the Golden Fleece to Indiana Jones’ determination to track down the Ark of the Covenant. Along the way there is always action, and adventure, and some friends to meet and enemies to defeat. Because that’s how a quest works.

Quests don’t have to be about objects. They can also be about finding your place in the world, and Nothing Lasts Forever tells the story of Adam Beckett, a young man who wants to be an artist, even though he has no idea of what an artist actually is. His quest takes him to a strange, totalitarian Manhattan where wannabe artists must sit a practical exam, and eventually to some very surprising places, »
