After weeks of tweeting pictures of obscure set details, director Marc Webb has finally given us a taste of the action unfolding on the set of "Amazing Spider-Man 2." A recent tweet depicts a cop that's apparently gotten too close to Electro (played by the unseen Jamie Foxx). Get a look at the full tweet below, as well as a few other recent on-set photos.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb Tweeted his own version of an April Fool.s joke, posting a photo of producers Avi Arad and Matthew Tolmach asking, .Do you still have Raimi.s number?. And he.s in the middle of a device that might be . well, we really don.t know. But I.m guessing Webb is trying to show Andrew Garfield how he should pose during a fight sequence. Day 39 of "Amazing Spider-Man 2's" New York City shoot resulted in two Twitter pictures... and whatever footage was shot. The photos come courtesy of Marc Webb's Twitter account, which is a must-follow for everyone excited about the Spidey sequel. These pictures, though, actually feature director Marc Webb in the center of the action, demonstrating his vision for an audience consisting of producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.
Comic Book Movie hypothesizes that Webb is standing in for Jamie Foxx and that this could be the scene where Max Dillon transforms into Electro. This isn't that far-fetched of an idea, and it sure looks like Webb is going through something in the first pic. The emotion!

Marc Webb, director of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, released this photo today via Twitter:
Day 30. Ravencroft. twitter.com/MarcW/status/3…
— Marc Webb (@MarcW) March 18, 2013
It reads “Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane”.
The Ravencroft Institute first appeared in Spider-Man Unlimited #1 (1993). It was set up by the government and run by Dr. Ashley Kafka, who had successfully reformed a Marvel villain named Vermin. The Institute would house many of Spider-Man’s villains.
Some have compared it to Batman’s Arkham Asylum.
One of the patients housed in the Ravencroft Institute was Electro, played in this film by Jamie Foxx. Are Electro pictures on the way?
Also, will we catch a glimpse of other Spider-Man villains that may appear in future films?
Other notable villains that have done time at Ravencroft include: The Vulture, Doctor Octopus and Carnage.

Fans of feel-good movies owe a lot to screenwriter and director Nancy Meyers. Her string of heart-warmers stretches from “The Parent Trap” and “Father of the Bride” all the way back to “Private Benjamin”, which won her a Writers Guild Award and earned her only Oscar nomination to date. This week, Deadline reports that after a four-year hiatus following the romance-of-a-certain-age hit, “It’s Complicated," Meyers has signed with Sony Pictures Entertainment to direct a new film, co-produced with Matt Tolmach. The project, which remains as yet untitled, will be set in the UK with an all-British cast, with the exception of an American female lead, whose “life gets turned upside-down when she begins dating a very unlikely young man”. The screenplay, originally by "The Spectacular Now" writers Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, has been re-written by romance-aficionado Meyers. Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures, gave a typically partisan nod to the deal: “We. »

The Wall Street Journal reports that filming for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will for the first time in the franchises’ history, be shot entirely in New York City. This is great for the storyline which takes place in New York City. The film has a budget upwards of $100 million and is being shot over 300,000 square feet at four facilities in Long Island and Brooklyn.
One of the sets infers that the film will deal with a transition to college. The set is that of a college dormitory at Columbia University. That dorm, appears to be suited for a female freshman. It is decorated with film noir posters and sparkly sneakers. Another clue is that the film synopsis states:
“high school graduation can’t come quickly enough.”
Chances are, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will advance the storyline into Peter Parker’s (played by Andrew Garfield) college years. Does the university dorm »

Writer/director Nancy Meyers is going across the pond for her next film. The director behind Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, and It’s Complicated has closed a deal with Sony Pictures to direct an untitled comedy that takes place in the UK. The story centers on an American woman whose life “gets turned upside down when she begins dating a very unlikely man.” Per Deadline, the pic will feature an entirely British cast save for the female lead, and was originally written by (500) Days of Summer scribes Michael Weber and Scott Neustadter. Meyers rewrote the screenplay and will also produce alongside Matt Tolmach. Though the premise seems simple enough, Meyers has a knack for turning out interesting character dynamics. Meyers is also attached to direct two other projects for Paramount—The Intern with Tina Fey and The Chelsea with Felicity Jones—but we haven’t heard much about those films since last spring. »
