1967: He wrote the screenplay for a ten-minute demonstration film that reworked the previous year's The Perils of Pauline (1967) pilot into a contemporary era setting. The demo again starred Pamela Austin as Pauline.

His family moved to Montreal when he was 13. After high school, he studied accounting. He began writing musical revues under the name "Mel Tolkin" so his parents wouldn't find out that he was involved in show business. See more »
