Wayman Tisdale was born on June 9, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA as Wayman Lawrence Tisdale. He was an actor, known for The Wayman Tisdale Story (2011), Eddie (1996) and The Spiritual Warfare Behind 'Witness Protection' (2006). He was married to Regina Tisdale. He died on May 15, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Was a self taught jazz musician who recorded eight of his own albums and played bass guitar with the Fifth Quartet.
Forward for Indiana Pacers (1985-1989), Sacramento Kings (1989-1994) and Phoenix Suns (1994-1997).
In August 2008, had part of his right leg amputated due to bone cancer. The prosthetic leg that he wore was crimson, a school color of the University of Oklahoma.
His father, Louis Tisdale, was a well-known pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Osage Expressway in Tulsa was named L. L. Tisdale Parkway in his honor after he died in 1997. Older brother Weldon took over as pastor of the church.
Met his wife, Regina, in April 1981 at church.
He performed with The "Fifth Quarter Band" ; not the Fifth Quartet. The meaning of the bands name is that he played 4 quarters of basketball & playing with the band was the fifth quarter. Also, Wayman past today.(5-16-2009).
Three-time All-American at the University of Oklahoma in the mid-1980s.
He was the first Oklahoma athlete in any sport including football to have his jersey retired.
He is survived by his children; Tiffany, Danielle, Gabrielle, and Wayman II. He is also survived by a granddaughter.
Son of Rev. Louis Tisdale.
