This photo is bringing us back! Sarah Michelle Gellar reunited with "Cruel Intentions" costar Sean Patrick Thomas over the weekend, as they both attended the opening night performance of "Cruel Intentions: The Completely Unauthorized Musical" parody in Los Angeles. Gellar, who played the wicked Kathryn Merteuil in the '90s flick, and Thomas (Aka Kathryn's sometimes play-thing Ronald) joined the film's writer/director Roger Kumble at the Rockwell: Table & Stage for the big debut. Running through April, the show hits all the memorable moments from the film -- including that kiss -- against a soundtrack of '90s songs performed live. And Sarah definitely enjoyed herself! "#cruelintentionsthemusical was insanely good," she posted on Instagram after the premiere. "#KilledIt I absolutely ❤️ it #Rockwell #KatieStevens was amazing as #Kathryn and #constantinerousouli nailed #Sebastian. Seriously the entire cast was genius." The actress took time to mingle with the show's stars after and posed for the photo above. »

Welcome to another horror/sci-fi round-up! This time around we have word of two big cast confirmations for Independence Day 2, details on Scream Factory's Deep in the Darkness Blu-ray / DVD release, and information on the new Blanc/Biehn Productions film, Treachery.
Independence Day 2: Last night it was revealed that the first official cast member had signed on to star in Roland Emmerich's Independence Day 2, the sequel to his 1996 film that featured massive alien-induced destruction and larger-than-life characters. It's now been confirmed that one of those characters will be coming back, as Emmerich tweeted last night that Jeff Goldblum will appear in the sequel, likely reprising his role as the brainy and dryly humorous David Levinson, who teamed up with fighter pilot Captain Steven Hiller to take down the mothership in the original film. Smith will not be coming back to reprise his role as Steven. »

Malcolm D. Lee is finalizing a deal to direct Barbershop 3 for MGM, with the studio quickly putting together deals for Ice Cube (Calvin Palmer) and Cedric the Entertainer (Eddie) to reprise their roles from 2002's Barbershop and 2004's Barbershop 2: Back In Business. We reported in March of last year that MGM is moving forward with the sequel, with Ice Cube set to both star and produce.
The report from March revealed that the studio was seeking a screenwriter, but it isn't known if the script is currently being worked on. The original Barbershop was a surprise hit in 2002, taking in a healthy $75 million domestic from just a $15 million budget. The story followed Calvin and the wide-ranging characters that inhabit his Chicago barbershop. The 2004 sequel Barbershop 2: Back In Business earned $65 million domestic from a $30 million budget, and it also spawned the spinoff Beauty Shop starring Queen Latifah.
Aquaman finally gets his due in Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, out now from Warner Home Entertainment. In the latest installment in the new linked video continuity, all inspired by the uninspiring New 52 reality. As is fitting in a spotlight film like this, Aquaman’s origins are explored so we also get the tried and true enmity between Arthur Curry and Orm, the Ocean Master. There’s lots of shouting, fighting, fish, and Sturm und Drang but honestly, not a lot of warmth and emotion—much like the current source material.
Queen Atlanna (Sirena Irwin) rules over forgotten Atlantis which is about to be proven a real legend as it braces for war. The undersea kingdom is discovered when Cyborg (Sean Patrick Thomas) investigates a sub having gone missing. Upon discovering the existence of Atlantis, he summons the rest of the Justice League — Superman (Jerry O’Connell), Batman (Jason O »
