The Dark Knight Rises Producer Emma Thomas On Bane, Comic Book Influences And More

15 hours ago | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

Emma Thomas (wife of Christopher Nolan and producer of The Dark Knight Rises) talked to Collider recently about Bane's role in the threequel and has assured fans that while their take on the villain isn't 100% faithful to the comic book version, the source material has still played a big role in how the story came together. To read the rest of the interview, be sure to click on the link below to head on over to the site. "Without saying too much, I think we’ve retained what works for this universe and for our world. [Bane]'s definitely recognizable. But then there are some things that we’ve changed, because I think they wouldn’t have fit into Chris Nolan’s version of the world. I think that’s one of the interesting things about Bane as a choice. We were obviously never going to revisit the Joker and you »

This Dark Knight Rises stuff is going to continue flooding the net up until the release of the film, I just hope they don't reveal a ton of stuff in the process. The movie hits theaters on July 20th.

‘Dark Knight Rises’ Set Interviews: Characters, Fighting, IMAX & The New Gotham

23 hours ago | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

A handful of movie news sites were invited to the set of The Dark Knight Rises last summer, and details from said visit are now available online. Stars Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle/Catwoman), and Tom Hardy (Bane) – along with director Christopher Nolan’s wife/producer Emma Thomas – were pretty tight-lipped, so as to help maintain a shroud of secrecy around Nolan’s climactic Batman movie. Judging by how (in the present) we still know only possess a rough outline of the film’s plot, their efforts were not in vain.

We’ve gone ahead and cultivated the choice quotes from the Dark Knight Rises cast and crew here, with links at the conclusion of this article to the full interviews, which are available in print and audio form over at Collider.

Feel free to read ahead as you please, ...

Producer Emma Thomas Talks Drawing from Comic Books, Bane, IMAX and Much More on the Set of The Dark Knight Rises

27 May 2012 9:00 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Last August, on the set of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, I was able to participate in a group interview with producer Emma Thomas.  Unlike the actors who were careful with every word they said, Thomas went into specific detail when talking about the movie.  Then again, when you're married to the director, you know exactly what you can and can't say.  Here's a few of the highlights from the interview: For the Bane character, they’ve “retained what works for this universe and for our world. He’s definitely recognizable. But then there are some things that we’ve changed, because I think they wouldn’t have fit into Chris Nolan’s version of the world." The Dark Knight Rises will have a different visual aesthetic than Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer drew from comic book elements for the script, »
