London, Sept 21: The toilet roll, once refused by The Beatles while recording their famous 'Abbey Road' album because it was too "hard and shiny" and had Emi stamped on every sheet, could fetch 1,000 pounds per sheet, it has been revealed.
The antics of the Fab Four was revealed after fan Barry Thomas snapped up the tissue, complete with a jokey letter of authentication from Emi manager Ken Townsend, at an auction in 1980 for 85 pounds.
"People have the memories and the signed records and pictures and stuff, but no one else can say they have a toilet roll John Lennon rejected," he said when asked what.
