Vienna-born character actress from a renown acting family who fled the Nazis with husband, theatre producer/director Max Reinhardt, sought refuge in Hollywood, and appeared in minor ethnic roles in film intrigue and melodrama. An important German stage actress prior to the takeover, she subsequently returned to Vienna in 1948 a widow, and found sporadic work in films before retiring. See more »
