Did You Know?
When I read articles or books written by people who teach about screenplay, I've never understood the American notion of the three-act structure. I've never seen it in any American film that I like. There are no acts in The Big Sleep or The Maltese Falcon or She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. I see a flow. Where are the three acts in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp?
