'Meadowland' Trailer Starring Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson

A mother and father start to go off the rails after their son is kidnapped in the first trailer for Meadowland, debuting in theaters October 16 before arriving on VOD formats October 23. The film first debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April, where it was acquired by Cinedigm. Stars Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson received rave reviews at the festival for their performances, which fans everywhere can see for themselves next month.

In the hazy aftermath of an unimaginable loss, married couple Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and Phil (Luke Wilson) come unhinged, recklessly ignoring the repercussions. Phil, a New York City cop, starts to lose sight of his morals as Sarah puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations, falling deeper into her own fever dream. The directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano, Meadowland is a visceral exploration of grief and hope.

Olivia Wilde’s ‘Meadowland’ Picked Up by Cinedigm

Cinedigm has acquired all North American distribution rights to Olivia Wilde’s psychological drama “Meadowland” and set an awards season theatrical release in October.

The film, which debuted at Tribeca in April, also stars Luke Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Giovanni Ribisi, Ty Simpkins and John Leguizamo. Wilde and Wilson play a couple dealing with their son’s disappearance with Wilson portraying a New York City policeman.

Meadowland” marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano, who helmed from a script by Chris Rossi. Wilde serves as a producer, as she has in several of her previous projects including “Drinking Buddies,” “Sun City Picture House” and “Body Team 12.”

The producing team includes Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, along with Margot Hand and Matt Tauber. Jennifer Levine, Jason Cloth of CW Media Finance, Alex Garcia, Santiago Garcia Galvan, Marla Rand, Scott Paterson and Lauren Selig are the executive producers.

Cinedigm acquires ‘Meadowland’

The distributor has acquired all North American rights to the recent Tribeca world premiere about the psychological toll of a tragedy on a New York couple.

Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, Elisabeth MossGiovanni Ribisi, Ty Simpkins and John Leguizamo star.

Cinematographer Reed Morano makes her feature directorial debut from a screenplay by Chris Rossi.

Aaron L Gilbert of Bron Studios produces alongside Margot Hand and Matt Tauber. Jennifer Levine, Jason Cloth of CW Media Finance, Alex Garcia, Santiago Garcia Galvan, Marla Rand, Scott Paterson and Lauren Selig are executive producers.

Meadowland will receive an October theatrical release after Cinedigm brokered the deal with Wme Global and Gersh. K5 handles international sales.

Separately, Candy Factory Films has acquired Us distribution and international sales rights to the Robert Cohen comedic documentary Being Canadian. »

K5 International has taken international rights to Tribeca Competition title Meadowland ahead of the film’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17.

The film marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano in her and centres on Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and Phil (Luke Wilson) whose life is shattered when their son goes missing. As months pass with little information, they each struggle in their own way to cope.

K5 Picks Up Tribeca Competition Title ‘Meadowland’ (Exclusive)

London — Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur’s K5 International has taken international rights on “Meadowland,” which world premieres in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival.

K5 also has the rights to three other films world premiering at Tribeca: competition player “The Survivalist,” “Dirty Weekend” and “When I Live My Life Over Again.”

Meadowland” is the directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano, who was named one of Variety’s “10 Cinematographers to Watch” in 2011.

The pic centers on the fragmenting relationship between Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and Phil (Luke Wilson) following the disappearance of their son. Wilde’s credits include “Rush” and “Her,” while Wilson appeared in “Middle Men” and “3:10 to Yuma.”

Supporting actors include Kevin Corrigan, John Leguizamo, Elisabeth Moss, Giovanni Ribisi, Juno Temple and Merritt Wever.
