Charles Tannen was born on October 22, 1915 in New York City, New York, USA as Charles David Tannen. He was an actor and producer, known for The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Drums Along the Mohawk (1939) and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961). He died on December 28, 1980 in San Bernardino, California, USA.

Son of a vaudevillian, Tanner was a general purpose actor who worked primarily at 20th Century Fox. He appeared in innumerable cameos and bit parts, often as reporters, photographers or stage managers.
