Another historic figure will be appearing in the alternate history of The Man in The High Castle, with Boardwalk Empire’s William Forsythe set to portray infamous FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in the show’s third season.
Based on the novel by sci-fi writer Philip K. Dick, The Man in The High Castle imagines a world where the Allies lost World War II and America is split between Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan’s control.
Other roles Forsythe is known for are the series The Mob Doctor and Michael Bay’s The Rock. Amazon renewed the series for a third season in January and hired a new showrunner with the renewal. The third season will premiere on the streaming service this fall.

Western Audiences may not be familiar with bodybuilder-turned action star Alexander Nevsky, but in Russia he’s a bona fide star. Nevsky has been quietly creating his own projects to star in, starting with the surprisingly earnest and stellar film Moscow Heat, which emulated the Walter Hill actioner Red Heat, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Speaking of Schwarzenegger, Nevsky’s build, voice, and demeanor are a striking ringer for Arnold, and Nevsky knows this and plays it to his benefit. Nevsky’s other films include the also quite entertaining genre hybrid mashup Treasure Raiders, which combined the best ingredients of The Fast and the Furious and National Treasure, and he’s back with this year’s serial killer thriller/action film Black Rose, co-starring Kristanna Loken, and a little later in the year with the Expendables-type action flick Showdown in Manila, which »

“Diamond Cartel,” directed by Salamat Mukhammed-Ali (“The Whole World at Our Feet”), preserves one final performance from one of Hollywood’s finest, Peter O’Toole. While it may seem sort of surreal to see Mr. O’Toole go from the wooing Katherine Hepburn to wielding a machine gun, it’s actually quite comedic.
In addition to the eight-time Oscar nominee, “Diamond Cartel” stars Emmy Award-winning actor Armand Assante and includes appearances by Michael Madsen. Pretty stacked. Additionally, the film showcases the talents of martial arts superstar Bolo Yeung (“Enter The Dragon”), Japanese TV and film veteran Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Japanese-American 11-time professional kickboxing world champion Don “The Dragon” Wilson. No, really stacked.

Fans of The Man in The High Castle will be pleased by the news that Amazon has ordered a third season of their hit original drama. Furthermore, they have also named Bosch‘s Eric Overmyer as the new showrunner in the wake of previous showrunner Frank Spotnitz’s exit from the show.
Season one of The Man in The High Castle became Amazon Prime’s most streamed show at the time of its premiere. The series is based on Philip K. Dick’s 1962 novel which imagines the Axis powers winning World War II, with Germany conquering most of America while Japan controls the country’s West coast.
Frank Spotnitz developed the adaptation, but left amid rumours of tension with Amazon in the middle of the second season’s production. This left the existing production team to carry on without a proper showrunner, but now that Overmyer has been named as »
