Patrick Süskind was born on March 26, 1949 in Ambach, Bavaria, Germany. He is a writer and actor, known for Kir Royal (1986), Rossini (1997) and Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006).

Trivia (5)

His novel, "Perfume," inspired Kurt Cobain to write the Nirvana song "Scentless Apprentice."
As he wrote the script for the movie Rossini (1997) together with producer Bernd Eichinger, the character of the shy author "Jakob Windisch" is probably based on him.
Resides almost anonymously in Munich.
Has refused to give any interviews for over twenty years, and only three published photos of him exist.
Studied Medieval and Modern History at the University of Munich and Aix-en-Provence between 1968 and 1974.
