One of the most prominent polish directors. Malgorzata Szumowska born in Cracow 1973. Screewriter, producer and director. She is an author of six feature and some documentary and short films. Was awarded many times in Poland and Europe. She won "Silver Leopard" in Locarno for "33 scenes from life" , "Teddy Award" in Berlinale for "In the name of" film was in official competition and many others prizes around festivals. Her first and second feature "Happy man" and "Stranger" were nominated to Europen Film Awards as Discovery. "Elles" with Juliette Binoche was sold out to more than 40 countries, "In the name of" enter cinemas in 15 countries. In Poland she received the most important film awards. Her last feature is Body premier will be next year.
