Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois), Greg (Eric Szmanda and Db (Ted Danson), arrive at a crime scene where a dead body has been discovered. He turns out to be alive and Db gets them to process as much of the scene and suspect as possible, before he's flown out. Db wants Greg to accompany the flight but Morgan volunteers. For obvious reasons, so Greg can feel guilty later and act out for being the one who should have been there. Beforehand Morgan rants about La and its virtues over Vegas, so why make the move here, other than to reconcile with her father, Ecklie (Marc Vann). The suspect has marks on his wrists showing he was bound and tazer marks on his neck. Nick (George Eads) calls for help with the Cs he's at, a double homicide and Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) and Sara (Jorga Fox) are in court. they must really be short staffed. »

Greg (Eric Szmanda) Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) Db (Ted Danson) and Ecklie (Marc Vann) attend the opening of the Mob museum, officially opened by former Mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman (Oscar Goodman). Db does the rounds with Ecklie and then talks to Catherine and Greg about the two wives standing with the wife Joanna (Frances Fisher) of the hitman, Vinny Sapphire who killed their husbands. As the Mayor toasts all hell breaks loose as shots are fired shattering his martini glass and hitting him three times. Sheriff Liston (Barbara Eve Harris) also at the event wants Ecklie and Db to get to the bottom of this pronto. The CSIs compare notes and find shots were fired from two different areas of the room. Db finds the gun behind one of the dummies, a .38, as is the weapon of choice in a mob hit and the shooter would always characteristically dump the gun at the scene. »

Db (Ted Danson) arrives and takes over the Cs. Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) it appears had another axe to grind with her heavy handedness and has she taken a leaf out of Stella's book when it comes to treating suspects in such a hostile way. He was a paedophile - yes - but there was an easy solution to that if the parents of Fiona had taken care of their daughter and reported him. Then she changed her tune when she needed the same suspect, John Lee's (James Harvy Ward) help in identifying the other suspects who came and went at the house. Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) also showing the Vegas brass (!) can be as humiliating and cold as the CSI:ny lot used to be. They've come a long way as far as the treatment of suspects harshly is concerned but the Vegas team appear to have gone back to the older NY ways, »

An unexplained series of events occur on a Vegas tram; unexplained until the CSIs are on the case, that is. Nick (George Eads) returns from Hawaii after a seminar to find the joke's on him. The new boss, Db Russell (Ted Danson) lies on the tram floor and Nick thinks he's just a Db, which he is. Db by name, but not a real Db! Nick's reaction to his name, his initials is exactly what I thought when it was revealed who Ted was going to play in the show. Db as many know stands for 'dead body.' The others can only laugh and disappear. Nick isn't too happy to be the butt of their joke and he and Db don't really seem to hit it off - not like Nick and Ray (Laurence Fishburne). Two people were killed on the tram and three were injured. One Vic, Tom (Nathan Anderson) was stabbed. »

When Marg Helgenberger departs "CSI" after 12 years, a very familiar celebrity face is taking her place: Elisabeth Shue.
Shue joins the cast in the Wed., Feb. 15 episode as Julie Finlay. The new character is fresh from an anger management course according to CBS and she will share something with one character in particular.
"While it's difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it's exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said in a statement. "The new CSI also struggles with 'brutal honesty issues' and suffers no fools."
In the new photos below, see Shue's character interact with Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) in the CSI lab.
"Elisabeth's character will share a past, in another crime lab, with Ted Danson's character (D.B. Russell)," Don McGill, executive producer, said in a statement. "The first time »
