Wolfgang Suschitzky was born on August 29, 1912 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. He is known for his work on Get Carter (1971), Theater of Blood (1973) and Ulysses (1967). He was married to Beatrice Cunningham, Ilona Suschitzky and Helena "Puck" Voute. He died on October 7, 2016 in London, England.

Father of Peter Suschitzky.
Father of Misha Donat.
Began in 1935 as a camera operator for documentary film maker Paul Rotha in England.
Wanted to become a zoologist, but, finding work opportunities scarce, decided to study photography instead. Suschitzsky eventually graduated from the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt (School of Design and Graphic Arts) in Vienna. A lifelong passion for photographing animals led, in 1956, to his supplying the photographs for the book The Kingdom of the Beasts by Julian Huxley.
His first job was in the Netherlands photographing postcards for newsagents.
