17 October 2016 7:00 PM, PDT | Screen Anarchy | See recent Screen Anarchy news »

Production began today on Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's novel Gerald's Game. Deadline reported that Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood will lead the cast, rounded out by Henry Thomas, Carel Struycken, Kate Siegel, and Chiara Aurelia, for this adaptation that was announced over two years ago. Netflix, who distributed his terrific horror flick Hush this past Spring is back on board and will distribute globally once again.   We do not know about the rest of you in the ScreenAnarchy community but a lot of here at headquarters do like us some Mike Flanagan films. We also believe that the man deserves better than the hands that have been dealt to him this past year. With release dates and setbacks for Before I Wake to...

After being handcuffed to her bedposts, Jessie tires of her husband’s games, until things take an unexpectedly tragic turn. Netflix Announces the Start of Filming on Movie Adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’S Game

17 October 2016 10:04 AM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Stephen King's 1992 novel Gerald's Game is one of the author's more unconventionally creepy novels, and bringing it to life onscreen could be one of the more intriguingly challenging adaptations for a filmmaker. Mike Flanagan is up for the task, though, and Netflix has announced that filming begins on the movie version of Gerald's Game today in Alabama with a cast that includes Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, and  Kate Siegel.

Press Release: Netflix announced today that Carla Gugino (The Space Between Us, San Andreas, Watchmen) and Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek into Darkness, Star Trek) will star as ‘Jessie’ and ‘Gerald’ in Mike Flanagan’s (Universal’s upcoming Ouija: Origin of Evil, Hush, Oculus) Gerald’s Game for Intrepid Pictures.

Flanagan adapted the script with Jeff Howard (Oculus, I Know What You Did Last Summer) which is based on Stephen King’s 1992 suspense novel of the same name. Intrepid PicturesTrevor Macy »

'Twin Peaks' cast list: 11 major omissions, from Lara Flynn Boyle to Heather Graham

25 April 2016 4:24 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

What a way to start off the week! The formidable cast list for Showtime's forthcoming Twin Peaks revival series was revealed this morning, and man, is it a doozy. In addition to boasting such key returning players as Kyle MacLachlan (Dale Cooper), Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer/Maddy Ferguson) and Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), there are a number of surprising A-listers in the mix including Michael Cera, Trent Reznor, Amanda Seyfried and Naomi Watts. On the downside, a not-insignificant number of cast members from both the original series and the 1992 prequel film Fire Walk with Me are completely absent from the list. Where, for instance, is Lara Flynn Boyle (or Moira Kelly, for that matter)? Michael Ontkean? Piper Laurie? Joan Chen? Anyone from the mill? (Literally, there is no one from the mill.) So while I'm thankful that most of the major players are back in action, I can't help but »

Big Names On "Twin Peaks" Cast List Of 217

25 April 2016 9:43 AM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.

The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.

in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern, »
