'One Life to Live' and 'All My Children' rise online from their TV ashes

Pine Valley and Llanview are open for business again ... in a much different place.

Fans of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will recognize the names of those fictional locales immediately. Proving the seemingly impossible can happen, the former ABC daytime serials return with fresh weekday episodes in a new and very contemporary home Monday, April 29. They'll be used to launch The Online Network on iTunes and the Internet platforms Hulu (for free) and Hulu Plus (by subscription).

Many actors are back for the new iterations. "All My Children" again features Vincent Irizarry (alias that show's David), Debbi Morgan (Angela), Thorsten Kaye (Zach), Lindsay Hartley (Cara) and Darnell Williams (Jesse). The "One Life to Live" cast reunion includes seven-time Daytime Emmy winner Erika Slezak (Viki), Robert S. Woods (Bo), Robin Strasser (Dorian), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Roger Howarth (Todd), Melissa Archer (Natalie), Hillary B. Smith (Nora) and Jerry verDorn (Clint).

Corbin Bleu Joins Soap Revival ‘One Life To Live’

High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu has been added to the cast of One Life To Live as Jeffrey King, a young reporter friend of Matthew Buchanan (Robert Gorrie) and Danielle Manning (Kelley Missal) who comes to town to work for Llanview’s newspaper The Banner under Victoria Lord (Erica Slezak). Production begins Monday on the soap revival, which debuts with new 30-minute episodes on April 29 via Prospect Park’s The Online Network, streaming online on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and available on iTunes. 'All My Children,' 'One Life to Live' online premieres set for April 29

The long-awaited return of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" is set for April 29, when new episodes of both series will become available via Hulu, Hulu Plus and the iTunes store.

Prospect Park's The Online Network is producing the new 30-minute episodes, which will be available for free online and via streaming devices connected to Hulu Plus or iTunes. Production began Feb. 25 on "All My Children" (cast pictured below) and will begin March 18 on "One Life to Live" (cast pictured above).

The Online Network's revivals of ABC's canceled soaps "One Life to Live" and "All My Children" have revealed their returning cast members, but there are still a few big names missing: including Susan Lucci.

There's a chance more familiar faces will be added as the shows ramp up production for a spring launch, but the newly confirmed cast members assembled for a promotional photo shoot are...

Production On One Life To Live, All My Children To Begin February 25

"One Life to Live" and "All My Children" officially go into production later this month, it was announced on Monday.

Prospect Park's The Online Network revealed production on the rebooted soaps will commence on February 25.

Both shows are set to be filmed in Stamford, Connecticut.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, both shows will premiere online on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes this spring.

Among the stars coming back to "Oltl" are Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord Buchanan), Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), Hilary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan) and Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan).

Former ABC soaps "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" are officially being revived online. Production company Prospect Park announced the return of 22 cast members on Tuesday. They've closed deals with the actors to reprise their roles when the shows relaunch on TheOnlineNetwork.com.

So far, standout star Susan Lucci has not agreed to return as Erica Kane on "All My Children," but Prospect Park says they're still working on some more deals -- so there is still hope.

Characters set to return to "All My Children" are as follows:

Suds vet Robin Strasser officially announced her involvement in the project early Tuesday, tweeting in enthusiastic, all-caps fashion: “Oltl Lives Again thanx to Fans & [Prospect Park] I’m In & Grateful.”
