Arthur Storch was born on June 29, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and director, known for The Exorcist (1973), The Strange One (1957) and Bridget (2002). He was married to Cynthia Martin and Virginia Kiser. He died on March 5, 2013 in Manhattan, New York City.

Storch founded Syracuse Stage in 1974.
Aaron Sorkin still cherishes the tough advise and goading he received from Storch who taught him at Syracuse University. 'You can be so much better than you are,' he told the future Oscar-winning screenwriter. Dare to fail.'.
He was the youngest of three sons of baker Sam Storch and his wife Bessie. After graduating from Brooklyn's Thomas Jefferson High School, he lied about his age to enlist in the Army early on in World War II. Later earned his bachelor's from the New School for Social Research and studied drama at the Actors Studio under Lee Strasberg.
His Broadway career began in 1953 in 'End as a Man'. He also appeared in the stage version of 'Look Homeward, Angel' in 1957.
He enlisted in the Army in World War II, and received a bachelor's degree from the New School for Social Research in 1949. He then studied drama at the Actors Studio.
He directed both on and off Broadway.
