It wouldn’t be a “Saturday Night Live” season finale without the bittersweet moment that comes when a veteran cast member makes a final appearance. Last night it was Bill Hader’s turn to say goodbye, just as Kristen Wiig had done the previous season.
Watch: Kanye West Performs New Songs on ‘SNL’ (Video)
Given the revolving door at “SNL” has never seemed to stop moving over its 38-season run, the exit shouldn’t be cause for concern. Hader made a strong case for cast Mvp over 2012-13, but Wiig also ended her run as “SNL’s” top player. And yet the show seemed to have enjoyed a solid season without her and another high-profile defector, Andy Samberg.
But 2013-14 could very well shake out to be one of those tricky transitional seasons that every now and then seems to threaten “SNL” over a history that has seen its share of low points. »

Martha Stewart has some very important criteria in potential suitors, now that the lifestyle guru has jumped into the deep end of online dating.
Martha stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, where she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover what she wants in a man.
"I have my first dates this week," the 71-year-old, who will consider a younger guy, said.

Martha Stewart made a grievous error during her appearance on "The Tonight Show." See if you can catch it.
“Before the show, I saw Dave in his--" she said before quickly realizing what she'd done wrong. "Did I say Dave?”
“You said Dave," Jay Leno said. It's generally best not to mix up Jay Leno and David Letterman. There's history there.
Thankfully, Wanda Sykes was on hand to diffuse any tension, though Leno was rolling with it amiably.
“Don’t feel bad, she called me Oprah," Sykes joked, while Martha vehemently denied it.
Uproxx says that Stewart has seemed a little out of herself lately, or maybe she's just evolving. She's been open about creating an online dating account and has been talking about sex a lot more lately.
Or maybe she's just exhausted. Stewart just released her 79th book, "Living the Good Long Life," and has not one, but »

Only on Saturday Night Live would it be beside the point that Kate McKinnon is the show’s first openly gay woman. Since her debut just over a year ago, she has single-handedly revived the perennial show’s long lineage of searing, spot-on impersonations that rival those of Darryl Hammond, Gilda Radner and Martin Short. Her versions of Shakira, Penelope Cruz, Jodie Foster and Edie Falco don’t just come close; like any good caricature, they actually redefine the way you see the original person.
And yet, McKinnon is used so sparingly it begs putting the question to Lorne Michaels: What the hell are you waiting for? Her talent is bigger and brighter than some of your full-time cast members. She’s your ticket out of the malaise that has beset Season No. 38.
McKinnon’s “I’m Ellen” take on Ellen DeGeneres has earned not only kudos – Vulture called »

Plus a Spanish-language Breaking Bad and does Fox’s Gavin & Stacy remake work News
Fox unveiled its fall schedule which doesn’t include any of the big moves that people speculated would happen. Glee will air on Thursday (but will apparently take a hiatus) to make room for the Greg Kinnear series Rake. American Idol and The X-Factor aren’t cutting back. Tuesday nights continue to be comedy night. The one major change is a plan to move Bones and Raising Hope to Friday.
Fox also announced it is returning to the mini-series genre, reviving 24 as a 12-hour story and ordering Wayward Pines, a Twin Peaks-inspired thriller from The Playboy Club creator Chad Hodge. it’s also developing a mini-series about Billy the Kid.
Meanwhile, Fox also released trailers for its new shows. I have a feeling you’ll be most interested in Us & Them, the Americanization of Gavin & Stacey. »

Anne Hathaway and Sarah Jessica Parker brought Hollywood to the art world when they attended the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner in NYC yesterday. Anne wore a pink Givenchy dress and styled her new blond hair in a chic '60 pixie cut. Meanwhile, Sjp wore a vintage floral dress and Fendi cuffs as she chatted with Anne inside the party. Both Anne and Sarah Jessica had crossed paths earlier this week when they both attended the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night. They weren't the only stars still basking in the post-Met glow - Alexa Chung, who attended the ball earlier this week, also dropped by the Tate dinner and got a chance to chat with Anne and her husband, Adam Shulman. Ciara and Martha Stewart also attended the artsy affair. Don't forget to vote for Sjp, Anne, and more in our Popsugar 100 bracket for a chance to win a Victoria Beckham bag! »

And then there were two. Actually three. (Kinda, sorta. But we'll get to that in a sec.) After posting a profile on Match.com last week, Martha Stewart received a thousand responses from men interested in a date. After whittling it down to just two, the domestic diva met the eligible bachelors she selected on NBC's Today this morning. First up. Stan, a filmmaker, who says he's into sports, likes to paint and "would love to find someone with a great sense of humor." Then there's Larry, an international steel trade executive, who enjoys hiking, traveling, reading and walking and is seeking "the intimacy of a one-on-one relationship." The men, both 68, seemed »

The search for Mr. Right Now moves fast when you're Martha Stewart.
Stewart went on the Today show Thursday morning to meet the two men she narrowed down from a pool of 1,000 bachelors on Match.com interested in dating the lifestyle mogul. Martha Stewart has recently joined the millions of boomers who are looking for love through online dating. (Boomers are the largest growing users of online dating sites eHarmony.com and Match.com, USA Today reported.)
While Stewart may be like any other boomer in taking the leap, we doubt many can claim the same amount of interest: Martha Stewart's Match.com profile "received more than 20,000 page views within days after loading her profile on to the site," according to Today.
Viewers got a chance to meet and learn about the two men who made the cut: Larry, an executive in international steel, and Stan, a commercial film maker, »

This is how you know the Casey’s jersey is not game used because, take it from a girl who knows, there’s nothing sexy about the way hockey gear smells. Voight’s back on the job and on top of Antonio but only in a work way. Mills made everyone jealous with his rope and harness skills, got picked first in the game of Who Want to Severide’s Boyfriend, and was rewarded with some one-on-one gladiator style homoerotica. Severide meanwhile played dress uniform Ken, engaged in some witness tampering, and is all irritated that people are taking allegations of sexual assault seriously. The nerve! Latoya Jackson has a simple explanation as to why there was so much confusion about her mother's whereabouts last summer. "It's called a large family," Michael Jackson's sister told Chelsea Handler during an appearance on Wednesday's Chelsea Lately. "That's what's it called." She was referring, of course, to the drama that unfolded in June of 2012 when Katherine Jackson was reported missing by her nephew. Fortunately, it turned out Katherine was simply getting some R&R at a spa in Arizona. Handler also brought up Martha Stewart, who recently joined Match.com. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Zoe Saldana graced the set with a bad hangover. The Star Trek premiere party in Mexico City the preceding night had gotten out of hand, and eight glasses of wine into dinner, Jj Abrams started beaming people up from his phone, and later, Saldana found herself nearly puking at the airport and having some trouble talking to Kimmel. Plus: A man hunt alongside fellow single lady Martha Stewart sounds like a "cool" idea to Latoya Jackson (but who'd make the better wingwoman?); Jimmy Fallon failed to trick Zachary Quinto into giving the Vulcan salute; and Simon Helberg always played back up in the rock band orgy parties his music would gather. New York, May 7: Martha Stewart has admitted that she didn't flirt with Hollywood heartthrobs Robert Redford and Paul Newman as a young woman.
At City Harvest's On Your Plate lunch, the 71-year-old TV personality recalled selling pastries at a clothing store called Common Market in Westport, Connecticut, one of the first places to sell Ralph Lauren goods in the 1970s.
She said that Redford and Newman were there all the time, and she just handed them their croissant or tart, and didn't even look at them, the New York Post reported.

In a culture saturated by best and worst lists, it’s easy to fall into the trap of labeling everything you see either “brilliant” or “awful.” Sometimes, though, entertainment is solidly middle-of-the-road — and that was certainly the case with Zach Galifianakis’s third SNL hosting stint. It never soared to the heights of his first few outings, but it was a solidly funny night that featured a few inspired moments — and, perhaps more importantly, only one outright clunker of a sketch. That’s a pretty good batting average as far as Saturday Night Live goes.

“Don’t get your hopes up,” said Zach Galifianakis, kicking off his opening monologue on this week’s Saturday Night Live. The question loomed, though, whether the Hangover funnyman was issuing a serious warning or just engaging in a bit of facetious humor.
Galifianakis’ episode kicked off pretty promisingly, with a loopy but occasionally hilarious monologue that followed a solid cold open spoofing Fox & Friends. (I can’t lie: The roll call of factual errors gets me every time.) Even the subsequent Game of Game of Thrones (must Bill Hader host every single game show spoof?) and Martha Stewart Match. »
