The Teaser Trailer for “Thor: Ragnarok” is an absolute hoot

11 April 2017 5:23 AM, PDT | Hollywoodnews.com | See recent Hollywoodnews.com news »

Within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the two Thor films have been among the most forgettable. They’re not bad, but they lack personality and the fun of the rest of the McU. Well, as you’ll see with this Teaser Trailer that debuted yesterday, Thor: Ragnarok certainly seeks to change all of that. As will become apparent, there’s a lighter tone in effect, a larger scale, and a vibe that isn’t at odds with the rest of the McU. It’s very different, almost entirely in good ways. The Teaser Trailer will probably tickle your fancy, but before we get to that, some mild analysis is coming your way! This sequel is the third Thor film and one that works as a sequel not just to Thor: The Dark World, but also to Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War as well. Thor: Ragnarok - Fans Mad There May Be Humor? Seriously?

22 February 2017 2:00 PM, PST | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

I just discovered a few interesting tweets on Taika Waititi's (director of upcoming Thor film) twitter (@TaikaWaititi), where some people are b**ching that, god forbid, Thor: Ragnarok may have some humor involved in it. One fan expressed as much Waititi himself.

@TaikaWaititi Taika, how do you feel knowing that there are angry people by Thor Ragnarok adapting a more comic tone?

— Alvaro S. (@alvarof616) February 21, 2017

Surprisingly enough, Waititi saw the tweet, and even went so far as to respond in a hilarious way:

Sounds like they need to laugh. https://t.co/fCB5AwQoDA

Black Sails Season 4 Review

21 January 2017 7:30 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Two episodes were provided prior to broadcast.

On the surface, Black Sails is about pirates and plunder, but really it’s about politics. In a global society obsessed with the silver-tongued manipulators of public office, it’s fitting that today’s pirate show takes our favorite swashbuckling rum-swiggers and turns them into dour bureaucrats immersed in a game of political chess. The final season aims for a dramatic tale of collusion and infighting (cut from the same cloth as shows like Game of Thrones and Vikings, only with less precision), but the first two episodes lay the groundwork in tedious strokes.

Captain Flint and Long John Silver are the prized assets on display and the famous names connecting Black Sails to Robert Stephenson’s Treasure Island (we are in prequel territory, here). But a story of collusion and treachery needs an ensemble cast to keep the game afloat, and Flint »

Following the film’s release, Lionsgate spent several years developing a sequel to the film, with Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter coming on board to rewrite the original script from Jonathan Hensleigh, and Sutter has now shared a few details on his involvement with the project, his take on the character, and the reasons behind its rejection

“I had a couple of general meetings with Gale Anne Hurd, producer of The Walking Dead, and we had talked about a couple of things,” Sutter tells Looper. “She was a producer on the Punisher film, and they had gotten a draft of the script, so they brought me in, »
