Outdoor advertising firm JCDecaux is to showcase its new digital technologies at an event at the Sydney Opera House in July.
The announcement:
May 29, 2012: JCDecaux will showcase the world’s leading technologies in out of home marketing at a major industry event to take place in July.
With new technology and connectivity rapidly accelerating in the out of home sector,emerging interactive solutions that have not been seen in most markets worldwide will be demonstrated at the JCDecaux event that will take place at the Sydney Opera House on July 19.
Steve O’Connor, CEO of JCDecaux Australia, announced the event last night at the Mumbrella welcoming event for Mumbrella 360 speakers. He said the purpose of the technology show was to demonstrate new platforms and drive entirely new thinking for out of home that delivers heightened consumer engagement through a combination of technology, creativity and interactivity.

George Clooney's ex-flame Elisabetta Canalis sure gave paparazzi in Antibes, France, an eyeful on Wednesday, showing off her fit figure in a barely-there pink bikini. But the model and "Dancing With the Stars" alum wasn't alone for her day of sunbathing.
At one point, Canalis was aboard a yacht with "The Dictator" -- a fully costumed Sacha Baron Cohen. In what appears to be a publicity stunt for the actor's forthcoming flick, the pair were getting quite handsy, lotioning-up each other. But after a few glasses of champagne and a game of hide and seek inside the actor's swim trunks, "The Dictator" tired of his leggy brunette and threw her overboard!

TruTV‘s slate of development titles announced today include a Howie Mandel-produced game show set on an airplane and a funny-video pilot from the producers of America’s Funniest Home Videos and Tosh.0 starring Shaquille O’Neal and Gary Owen. There are four series on the production slate, including the cast-contingent auction title Container Wars, in which experts compete against each other to buy the contents of huge shipping containers whose contents are unknown only until the last minute before bids are due. The 37-year-old 'Jackass' star - who has been sober since entering rehab for drug abuse and bipolar disorder in 2008 - has apparently called time on the relationship because of their conflicting lifestyles. The passing of television legend Dick Clark caused an outpouring of emotions among celebrities. Man, as beneficial as a good run on Dancing With the Stars can be for celebrities looking for a comeback the show is also quite hazardous to their health. Last night, Melissa Gilbert was rushed to the hospital after her performance and later tweeted that she was treated for “mild concussion and whiplash.” Amazingly, her paso doble with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, which earned a 22. That’s what separates stars from normal people, isn’t it? We would have been lying down and crying, like, right away.

Last time we heard from Steve-o (of "Jackass" fame), he was having difficulty with drugs and had spent some time in a sober-living facility. For a man who's stapled his scrotum to his leg and willingly rubbed wasabi in his eyes, his biggest challenge seemed to be sobering up.
HuffPost TV caught up with the several-years-sober funnyman as he made his way to Toronto for the latest stop on his stand-up tour, which is hitting numerous cities in Canada and the Us in 2012. He'll also be appearing as a host on the upcoming reality game show "Killer Karaoke," which is set to appear on truTV at some point in the near future.
And he even did a little Canadian stunt on the streets of Toronto, just for us. Check out the video above!

Adam Dolgins will focus on comedic and alternative reality shows as TruTV’s new Svp Original Programming. His group will oversee the network’s Impractical Jokers as well as its upcoming Killer Karaoke hosted by Steve-o. Dolgins arrives from his own production company Fractured Hip Prods, where he most recently was executive producer for four seasons of MTV’s game show Silent Library. His credits include Smoking Gun TV for Adult Swim and Court TV (before it became TruTV) and Vhi’s Rock Of Ages. I’ve learned that Zodiak USA CEO Grant Mansfield will leave the company in June to return to his native U.K. Mansfield served as Managing Director and Group Director Factual, Entertainment and Comedy for Rdf TV in the U.K. before he was named CEO of Rdf USA in January 2010. Nine months later, the company was renamed Zodiak USA following Zodiak Entertainment’s acquisition of Rdf Media Group. Word is that Mansfield, who uprooted his family to move to Los Angeles, had been looking to return to London. Search is under way for a new CEO to replace him. Under Mansfield, Zodiak USA launched Celebrity Wife Swap and Secret Millionaire on ABC, both of which he executive produced. Steve-o may be known for tough stunts but he recently revealed a soft spot for chimpanzees: the star is asking Sen. Barbara Boxer to support legislation that will spare chimpanzees in the United States from painful, invasive experiments and release hundreds of chimpanzees to sanctuaries.
“Many people know me as the guy who intentionally harmed himself over and over on the show Jackass,” Steve-o writes in a letter to Sen. Boxer. “But I am actually very serious about some things—including protecting chimpanzees and other animals from being intentionally harmed.”

TV prankster Steve-o's romance with George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis is heating up - the model has whisked her new beau off to her native Italy for a romantic break.
The unlikely couple went public with its relationship last month when the stars were snapped kissing in Los Angeles.
Now Canalis has given the Jackass star a tour of Rome - even dining at the same sushi restaurant the beauty used to frequent with Oscar winner Clooney.
An eyewitness tells the New York Post's Page Six column Canalis and Steve-o couldn't keep their hands off each other and shared numerous kisses throughout their meal.
